Happy New Year from The Employment Support Service. Starting the New Year and staying motivated can be a struggle. As an employer, it may be difficult to keep yourselves and your employees motivated. Here are some ways to help you and your employees look forward to the year ahead and keep motivated: 1) Set S.M.A.R.T goal (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time based) 2) Break down goals/ resolutions into manageable chunks for yourselves and your employees. 3) Don’t beat yourself if you get things wrong, we learn and grow from mistakes/ errors. 4) Listen to your body and mind – Take frequent breaks and rest for yourselves and your employees. 5) Keep a track on how you and your employees are doing. Need to know is these justified? I need some expert opinions.. - I am working since 10 months and more in the Company and never took a leave..PL or UPL nothing at all.. Process wise, never got a Domestic holiday or International Holiday.. Personally, there has been 8/9 days, when i have left 1hr or 2hrs early from the office, that is also after completion of my daily taks and targets.. Personal thinking was, if i dont need a full day off to do something, i can atleast give my best till i will be at office and leave when its needed.. Now, Whenever i am asking for a day off, its like i have to beg like anything... If asking for a early leave 2/3 times that is again after completion of daily tasks and targets, getting replies like "dont ask for a early leave from now on!".. Just need some expert advise, If i am wrong to call this "wrong" or not??!!

Being challenged workwise and interesting work colleagues. 🖊What do you like most about your job/what do you find most rewarding? Helping people. 🖊What is your favourite work memory or funny event? There's a mad video the IT team did for a HR keep fit programme in a previous job….that’s all I’m saying. 🖊What are your hobbies and interests? Cinema, reading, eating out. 🖊What did you want to be when you were a child? A member of the guards!! 🖊Tell us an interesting fact about yourself I have a brain full of useless information, e.g. the part numbers of books I put in computer boxes in my first production job in 1988!!! Comes in handy though for important birthdays and anniversaries.
