Passion for People, Potential & Positivity - Experience Director - Global Learning & Development - TEDx Speaker - Appreciative Inquiry
“True belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are.” Brene Brown What does the word PRIDE mean to you? Pride is a deep sense of self-respect and appreciation. Pride is knowing that we belong, that our place in the world is earned simply by being who we are. This week’s 90-second video explores how pride is not just internal. It’s the warmth we feel when we see others being able to embrace their identities, when we share in others’ journeys and stand beside one another in moments of truth. It’s the strength we draw from knowing we’re part of a much larger thing, where every individual is essential to the community. Sharing pride is about more than just acknowledgment; it’s about lifting each other up and celebrating the vibrant diversity of our experiences. It’s a mutual recognition that our individual stories, when brought together, create a network of unity and support. PRIDE is a shared space, where we find the strength to be ourselves, the courage to express our truths, and the joy in knowing that you are not alone. Best wishes always, Emma xx #learning #pride #inclusivity Create the Ripple

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗢𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗢𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 I’m currently on a journey looking for my next role and a warm wave of nostalgia washes over me, taking me back to my previous role. It was a time when our office was more than just a workplace; it was a vibrant community bubble, a melting pot of diverse backgrounds and cultures. We were a unique combination, each member bringing their own distinct melody to the symphony of our daily grind. Our differences were not just acknowledged—they were celebrated. It was understood that these very differences were the threads that wove us into a stronger whole. Working towards a common goal, we were like a family. Sure, we had our moments of dysfunction—like any family does—but these moments never overshadowed the relationships and the collective drive that bound us. We didn’t bother with labels. Titles and designations were secondary to the shared vision that fuelled our efforts. I often compared our team to a family, and I stand by that comparison. We had our share of squabbles and disagreements, akin to the playful bickering one might find at a family reunion. Yet, at the end of the day, we knew that we had each other’s backs. In those days, success was a communal celebration, and every small victory was a testament to our unity in diversity. We were a testament to the idea that when people come together, setting aside prejudices and embracing each other’s strengths, remarkable things can happen. So here’s to the good old days—may they remind us of the beauty in diversity and the strength in unity. May they inspire us to recreate that magic in our current endeavours, no matter where life takes us. #UnityInDiversity,#TeamSpirit, #NostalgicMoments

Appreciation is more than just a word; it's a way of being. When we show up for each other, lift each other up, and ask the right questions, we can create a work environment that's truly supportive and inspiring. So today, let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible people who make our work lives better every day. Whether it's with a simple "thank you" or a meaningful gesture, let's make sure they know how much they matter. And let's not forget to appreciate ourselves, too! Self-appreciation is just as important as showing appreciation to others. We can't pour from an empty cup, so make sure to take some time to celebrate your own achievements and strengths. A little self-appreciation goes a long way in creating a positive and productive work environment. So, let's raise a metaphorical glass to ourselves and all the amazing people we work with! Thank you guys, for being the best. Sandra OnyeachorAfoke AkpotarenoOghenero OkikieDolapo AsimolowoChukwudi PaulBenson #worldcomplimentday #employeeappreciationday #march1st #march #viral

Happy Pride Month Everyone. Our founder, Sarah Garrett's tips for a successful Pride month: 1. Spread love, peace and positivity Let's try! We are in a tough world right now, so anything less than treating people with respect and kindness is pretty shameful! 2. Be inclusive We may all have different views or be on different parts of many journeys, but we can influence progress better by working together. 3. Ignore the haters and especially cancel culture Hate is not effective in creating progress. Our community is continuously fighting, and now each other more than ever. We are destroying ourselves and our common goals!! Time to change all that. 4. Listen to learn We can all broaden our perspectives, understand difference, and different view points, and maybe learn something new on the way. Times are ever evolving and this is the only way we will catch up. 5. Work together Build networks. The sum of the parts and all that... Find people who share common goals and work with them. Let me know your thoughts... We will be launching our #PridePurposeProgress campaign this month, celebrating the hard work and what we've achieved by doing all of the above.

In honor of November 2nd marking the end of the celebration known as The Day of the Dead, I thought it would be interesting to illustrate comparisons to the business world. The Day of the Dead and business might not seem like they have much in common at first, but when you look closer, there are some interesting similarities. Tradition and Heritage: Just like how the Day of the Dead is deeply rooted in Mexican culture, businesses often have their own unique history and traditions that shape their identity. Commemoration and Remembrance: In business, it's crucial to remember where you've come from. Whether it's celebrating achievements or learning from past mistakes, acknowledging your company's history can guide its future. Collaboration and Community: The Day of the Dead brings families and communities together, and in business, a strong sense of teamwork and community among employees can lead to better results and a more positive workplace. Creative Expression: The colorful and artistic aspects of the Day of the Dead show us the power of creativity. In the business world, creativity can lead to innovative solutions, eye-catching marketing, and unique product designs. Reflection and Planning: Just like the Day of the Dead encourages reflection on the lives of those who have passed, businesses often engage in strategic planning and reflection to assess their performance and set future goals. Resilience and Continuity: The Day of the Dead reminds us that life goes on even after the loss of loved ones. Similarly, businesses must adapt and evolve to overcome challenges and thrive in a changing world. So, even though the Day of the Dead and business may have different focuses, they share some valuable lessons about tradition, community, creativity, and adaptability that can help businesses grow and succeed in meaningful ways. #dayofthedead #business #marketingrecruiter #toptalent
