In 2.5 weeks we've done: 2 open water swims between 45-60min 1 run of about 30 min (with walking breaks) 7 strength training sessions 4 boxing sessions 2 stand up wrestling sessions A pre-dinner walk each day 6 mobility sessions As I mention often in my posts, there's no separation between brain and body. The best illustration of this is two-fold: 1. Your cognitive faculties sit on top of the motor cortex, the part of the brain that mainly deals with movement. 2. The sea squirt is a creature with a rudimentary nervous system (simple/small brain). Once it finds a place where it can feed easily, it attaches itself to the coral and eats its own brain. This doesn't mean you have to perform massive feats of movement, all it means is that your weeks should be peppered with movement so your brain stays in tip-top shape. Each client has different needs, so each activity schedule looks different. Seeing that I'm still recovering some injuries myself we're very mindful of the volume, duration, intensity and frequency. So I'm not running after him as a taskmaster with a whip.
