𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝟮: 𝗔𝗻 𝗘-𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲🛍 As the third task at HNG, we were asked to design a responsive e-commerce experience that would hasten the checkout process for users. This task was a collaborative one in which we had to pick developers who would build out the site. Some things had to be tweaked due to time constraints so you can find the live site here: https://lnkd.in/gkYPuHZ2 This was going to be my first attempt at e-commerce design and so, I had to decide on the kind of online store I wanted to design for. Eventually, I picked a women’s clothing brand, Mapletoby, as the brand has no existing website. To make sure the brief was well-executed, I decided to add options for colour selection and size selection to the product listing page of the e-commerce site. By doing this, users would be able to add their preferred clothing item to their cart and checkout immediately, skipping the product details page. This task taught me more about: 1. How to establish a friendly relationship with developers and ensure that the product comes to live. 2. How to design better for webstores by realising things I did right or could have done better 3. How to factor in marketing when designing. #ecommerce #b2c #uidesign #responsivedesign #ux #womensfashion #clothingbrand #webstore

My thoughts on sustainable e-commerce are catching on! 🤩 I just read this article that brings up the points I made in my article "The Psychology of Deceptive Discounting". Even using the same phrases and examples. I really liked how this article expands on my original thoughts and adds even more examples and ideas to design sustainable e-commerce experiences. Great work. 👏 What I don't like tho, is that my work and thoughts were not credited whatsoever, Serge Khmelovskyi. The article does link to other sources but not to my work (or if it does, I didn't find it). Not sure if it is on purpose or just a mistake, but a mention would have been much appreciated. Not only because it is customary to credit other people's work but also because there is a massive problem with awareness and discussion around this topic. And giving interested people a way to find more resources and connect with other people who are passionate about this topic is key to building awareness and growing the discussion. So Serge Khmelovskyi, if you would consider adding a link or a mention retrospectively, I'd really really appreciate. 😊 #UX #ecommerce #ecommercedesign #sustainableecommerce https://lnkd.in/dTaYQpYf

In my extensive experience with e-commerce websites, I've observed a common trend: many of them fall short of delivering their full potential in terms of value to the user. This shortfall often leads to a lack of satisfaction and trust in the brand. However, there's a process that turns shortcomings into opportunities: Design Audit. What excites me most about Design Audit is that, by conducting an objective analysis, we can reveal areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to enhance user experience and drive business growth. 🚀 In my latest article on the Nebulab blog, I delve deeper into the transformative power of Design Audit. 🧑💻 UX for E-Commerce! E-commerce design is more than just making a #website look appealing—it's about driving conversions by creating a seamless and intuitive shopping experience. In a competitive online marketplace, users expect fast load times, easy navigation, and a checkout process that doesn’t frustrate them. To succeed in e-commerce, your design must prioritize #userexperience (UX) at every step. Why is UX crucial in e-commerce? When users have a positive experience on your #ecommerce site, they’re more likely to complete a purchase, return for future transactions, and recommend your site to others. A poor user experience, on the other hand, can lead to abandoned carts, frustrated customers, and lost revenue. Key benefits: Increased Conversions: A streamlined UX ensures users can easily find and purchase the #products they want, increasing #conversionrates. Reduced Cart Abandonment: Simplifying the checkout process reduces friction and lowers the likelihood of #users abandoning their carts. Higher Customer Satisfaction: A #userfriendly interface makes shopping more enjoyable, leading to happier customers and repeat business. Improved #BrandLoyalty: Users are more likely to trust and return to a site that offers a smooth, frustration-free experience. UX for e-commerce: Simplify #Navigation: Make it easy for users to find products by using clear categories, filters, and search functionality. A well-organized navigation system helps users quickly locate what they need. Optimize for Mobile: More and more users are shopping on #mobiledevices. Ensure your e-commerce site is fully #responsive and provides an excellent #mobileexperience. Prioritize Load Times: Fast-loading pages are crucial for keeping users engaged. Slow load times lead to high bounce rates, especially in e-commerce. Streamline Checkout: A long or confusing checkout process is one of the main reasons for cart abandonment. Use as few steps as possible, offer guest checkout options, and clearly display shipping costs early on. Pro Tip: Use #ABtesting to evaluate different design elements, such as CTA #buttons or product page #layouts, to see what drives the most conversions for your audience. 👉 DM me to learn how to optimize your e-commerce UX and drive more conversions for your online store. #EcommerceUX #UXDesign #UserExperience #EcommerceDesign #WebDesign #ConversionOptimization #ux #sandipdhameliya
