If you publish your newsletter online as well as email, you need to do this. → Hop into your email platform’s settings → Find and enable your “Email Capture Popup.” This popup shows up when someone’s reading your post online, and asks them to subscribe. Write some simple copy for it. Here’s a starting point you can use: Heading → “Is this post useful?” Description → “Subscribe and get more like this in your email (for free).” Call-to-action → “Type your email here…” [Subscribe] Now you can rest assured that people visiting your online articles won’t miss the chance to subscribe. E-books vs email courses. Which is better? E-books are great. They're easy to create and distribute. But, they're not personal. That's where email courses come in. Email courses are personal. They're delivered straight to someone's inbox. They're interactive. They're consistent. And most importantly, they're effective. Email courses have higher engagement rates, higher open rates, and higher click-through rates compared to e-books. Why? Because they're personal. They show that you care about your audience. And that's what makes them so effective. So, if you're looking for a better way to educate your audience, consider creating an email course. It's personal, it's interactive, and it's effective.

Something's up with newsletters. Believe it or not, they used to be great. • Subscription based • Just text • No ads First one was sent on Dec 22, 1977, over the APRANET. It covered many topics: Technology, user, product, and legislative trends in graphic, record, and microcomputer communications. But today? They're digital door-to-door salesmen who never sleep. • Blasting recycled wisdom without nuance. • Prioritizing clicks over conversations. • Forgetting the "letter" in newsletter • Making everything transactional. This ship's on a crazy course. But we forget we're in control of the ship. We can change course & reimagine newsletters. Find new ways to have real conversations with our readers. Build genuine relationships instead of just email lists. Create a multimedia, story-driven approach. We can shift newsletters away from: • Content delivery assets • Sales funnels • Email traps And build a bridge between minds and ideas. PS: Do you think Newsletters have gotten crazy?
