INTEGRATION and COOPERATION are the two key concepts emerging from the word cloud that participants in the day-long advanced training organized in the of the DIGITPORTS project on deo Digital Twin applications in port ecosystems. An outcome that reflects the themes and case studies exhibited by a panel of top industry speakers who all insisted on these two key aspects. INTEGRATION because, as pointed out Scardino Antonella, Secretary General of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority - Ports of Venice and Chioggia, who emphasized data standardization and mapping of port assets as basic elements for geo-referenced digitization of procedures and processes. COOPERATION because, as explained by Jeremy Mirmelstein, Sr Solution Architect at Esri Inc, “People are the big part of success of a Digital twin application to navigate the cultural change necessary to achieve a full Digital transformation.” These are the pillars of the path forward in the digitization process of ports and maritime logistics in the Adriatic basin.
