When planning #catering for a business #event, there are a few things best avoided to ensure that the event is successful: 1. Not considering dietary restrictions: Failure to provide options for attendees with dietary restrictions, such as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options, can make some attendees uncomfortable or even unable to eat the food provided. 2. Overcomplicating the menu: Offering a menu that is too complex or unfamiliar to attendees can make it difficult for them to make choices and can also increase the risk of food waste. 3. Not providing enough food: Running out of food can be a major embarrassment and can make attendees feel unimportant. It is important to make sure that there is enough food to go around, but also try to avoid over-catering as it can lead to food waste. 4. Not considering the time of the event: The type of food offered should be appropriate for the time of day and the type of event. For example, heavy meals should be avoided at morning events, and light snacks should be avoided at evening events. 5. Not considering the location of the event: The type of food offered should be appropriate for the location of the event. For example, finger foods would be more appropriate for an outdoor event than a sit-down meal. 6. Not considering the budget: Over-ordering or choosing expensive items can cause the catering budget to exceed the allocated amount, which can affect the overall budget of the event. 7. Not considering the theme of the event: The food offered should align with the theme of the event. For example, a barbecue would be more appropriate for a summer event than a sit-down meal. 8. Not considering the culture of the attendees: Not considering the cultural background of the attendees can make them feel uncomfortable or not included. It is always a good idea to have a variety of options that cater to different cultural backgrounds. 9. Not testing the food before the event: Not testing the food before the event can lead to unpleasant surprises, such as poor taste or presentation. 10. Not providing enough staff: Not providing enough staff to serve and set up the food can lead to long lines and delays, which can disrupt the flow of the event. ———————————— Break away from conventional catering norms and experience unique culinary discoveries with O2Continents .
