If this becomes a habit, we might stop asking questions and just sit quietly, eventually turning into passive attendees. ✅ Taking notes helps me the most. It keeps me focused and engaged. 🤔 How do you stay focused in meetings? Share your tips in the comments!

Good morning. If you find virtual meetings to be a bit of a snoozefest, you aren’t alone — people feel 28% sleepier in virtual meetings compared to face-to-face ones. Luckily, WSJ has some tips for boosting engagement: Prep in advance: Don’t meet for info dumps — email that info beforehand, then prioritize discussion during your virtual meeting. Keep it small and short: Fewer attendees tend to mean more engagement, plus it helps to keep the meeting under 30 minutes. https://lnkd.in/gFDpDy-4

These days, we can handle a part of our meetings online, and that’s fine, of course. Online meetings are quick, efficient, and better for the planet. But still… Meeting in person feels more personal, and sometimes that makes it better. You get to know the person across the table in a slightly different way. - Building a connection happens much more easily. - New ideas come up when you are physically together. - You get more face-to-face feedback. To minimize my environmental impact, I combine in-person meetings in the same area whenever possible. What’s your balance between online and in-person meetings? Am I a bit traditional, or do you have a similar approach? PS: We've some great coffee at our office. 😉
