Love her progress! People always ask, where do the incisions go on an upper eyelid surgery? Right in your natural crease! When you heal, the incision (if it isn seen at all) mimics your original eyelid crease. As you can see from the markings, I meticulously design each incision to fall exactly at the most natural placement. Even among one person, no two eyelids are the same, and the incisions should reflect this artistically. This is my method. The other approach is more "cookie cutter" wherein the "average woman has a height of crease @ Xmm and thus all incisions should be at that height." I just feel that approach makes eyelids appear averaged, and not natural. As for the suture itself, it is super small and is "run" along the incision line. This beautiful patient of ours wanted her noticeable left upper eyelid retraction (caused by Thyroid Eye Disease) to be corrected prior to a big event in her life. The date was very close so instead of surgery we had to opt for a quick and temporary (lasts for 18 months) solution so that she looks her best for the pictures. We then decided on putting a filler in her upper eyelid from the inner aspect in order to improve the contour - notice the lateral flare on the left side.
