Did you know that Ozone has many benefits in the aquaculture industry? For the month of September, we travel to Norway, where Nekton Settefisk, a fish farm producing smolt, uses Veolia's Ozonia CFS 14 ozone generators in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) as well as disinfection of the inlet water. Our partner Redox has been servicing this equipment for over 10 years!. The fish also seem to gain a bigger appetite and increased growth as a result of the use of ozone in the system. We recently completed a study at Lødingen Fisk, an aquaculture facility in Norway with a RAS start-feeding section, and the results of integrating Moleaer's nanobubble technology were impressive! Here's what we found: ✨ Oxygen Transfer Efficiency of 94%: our systems significantly improved how efficiently oxygen is delivered to the water. ✨ Dissolved Oxygen Rose by 23%: more oxygen means healthier fish and faster growth. ✨ Nitrate Accumulation Reduced by 70%: improved water quality, with a major reduction in harmful nitrates levels. ✨ Ammonia Nitrification Rates Increased by 60%: enhanced biofilter performance means cleaner water, optimizing the biological processes that sustain a healthy environment for fish. Why Does this Matter? Moleaer’s nanobubble solutions are enhancing water quality and optimizing fish health and growth, all while reducing oxygenation and energy costs. It's a win for both economic and environmental sustainability of aquaculture! 💡 Curious about how we achieved this? Did you know? Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture (IMTA) systems offer a holistic approach to sustainable aquaculture by mimicking natural ecosystems? 🐟🌿 IMTA allows multiple species—such as fish, shellfish, and seaweed—to co-exist, where the waste from one species serves as nutrients for others. For instance, uneaten feed and fish waste can be absorbed by filter-feeding mollusks or nutrient-absorbing seaweeds. This practice not only reduces the environmental footprint of aquaculture but also enhances farm resilience and resource efficiency. #IMTA #Circular_Economy #Marine_Sustainability #Aquaculture_Innovation

Adequate aeration is essential in influencing the productivity and yield expectations of aquaculture, particularly in intensive systems. Paddle wheel aerators, widely utilized in large-scale aquaculture operations, play a crucial role in maintaining optimal oxygen levels necessary for the survival and growth of aquatic organisms. These aerators support high stocking and production levels by ensuring the adequate supply of oxygen. Furthermore, effective aeration promotes pond drainage and reduces sludge accumulation at the pond's bottom. To achieve effectiveness, paddlewheel aerators must efficiently mix water at the water-sediment interface and distribute oxygen both vertically and horizontally throughout the pond. #aquaculture #shrimpfarming #sustainability #demonstrate #Intensiveshrimpfarming #purestgroup #dhabejiaquafoods #paddelwheels #mwr

Specializing in the production of UV products for 15 years Discussing the latest news in the #UV-C industry
Advantages of UV light efficiency and sustainability of aquaculture operations: 1. Improved Water Quality UV light helps to clarify water by breaking down organic compounds and reducing algae blooms. That leads to clearer water, which is beneficial for the health and growth of aquatic species. 2. Reduced Chemical Dependency By utilizing UV light for water treatment, aquaculturists can reduce their reliance on chemical treatments such as chlorine or ozone, which may have negative impacts on aquatic ecosystems and require careful management to prevent harm to aquatic life. www.xpesuvc.com xpes07si@xpesuvc.com #uvc #uvlight #uvdisinfection #uvpurification #uvlamp #uvwater #waterdisinfection #watersafety #Aquaculture
