We've got some M&A news to share today! 🙌 Trulieve has settled its ongoing litigation with Harvest of Ohio. Trulieve receives operational dispensaries in Columbus and Beavercreek, as well as a "service agreement" on the Level 1 Cultivation and Processing facility, which I interpret to mean they are acquiring those assets as well bringing its total Ohio footprint to 3 operational dispensaries (2 in Columbus and 1 in Beavercreek) to go along with a Level 1 Grow and Processor. Harvest of OH founder Ariane Kirkpatrick keeps her operational dispensary in Athens Ohio and presumably one or more additional retail licenses as awarded by the state next month, which shall be rebranded Mavuno. Congrats to both parties for getting this thing across the finish line. Not a bad outcome to litigation for both parties in my view, especially in a market like Ohio that is slated to begin adult-use sales as early as the 2nd or 3rd week of June. Additional details of the transaction were not disclosed. FYI - the cap for retail dispensaries in Ohio is 8, meaning both parties have an opportunity to add additional stores to their footprints in the future. I for one am stoked to see transactions like this happening in the market and am excited for the start of Rec sales in Ohio which are expected to hit $1.5 to $2 BILLION in the first year.
