Insightful summary of major React 19 functions in the Release Candidate. Server-side components and actions are well known by now, but this article has a clear explanation with diagrams. There are interesting new functions that might not be as well known, such as: - useActionState and useFormStatus: finally makes it easy to disable a button while waiting for a server-side operation to finish - use : call it anywhere to retrieve async background loads within loops, conditional statements, and early returns. and you gotta love: - useOptimistic: eliminate negativity from your code!
