Empowering business leaders to align their wealth to become more generous to themselves, the people they love, and their communities.
I think this study by our neighbours at Scotiabank GAM illuminates unsurprising stats we might have gut feelings about as financial professionals: most clients are feeling negatively towards their investments in this current landscape - but those with a #financialplan are considerably less anxious or worried about their futures. When we talk about #investing as advisors #risk is often considered a very nebulous thing. "This balanced fund is 'less risky' than that equity fund", "stocks are 'more risky' than bonds"... but do clients actually understand what we mean by that? Because we're really referring to volatility and historical performance data based on time horizon and goal setting... ...or at least that's the idea. When I see stats like this I wonder if clients are being properly prepared for what "the ride" actually looks like as an investor, and how #volatility, #inflation, or other macro-effects can have on their plans. The irony is that smart investors know these past few years are not "bugs" in our system, but features (for better or for worse), and if they are adequately understanding the basics of investing they would likely be in that category who feel it's still a good time to invest. And with a true financial plan they'd know the real time to make investment changes is when it has a material effect on your plan... the rest is noise. #investing #financialplan #financialresearch #markets

Asset owner surveys are a valuable resource for investors and asset managers/advisers. They provide insights into expected changes in asset allocation trends. Recent studies show agreement on rising allocations to Private Credit, Infrastructure, and Investment Grade Bonds, but a lack of consensus on trends for Cash, Real Estate, and Equity.
