I am happy to introduce bobine, a new technology to meet the challenges of the #plastic recycling market.   👉 Thanks to our #innovation, based on catalysis and induction, we can recycle mixed end plastic #wastes, into #olefins with high conversion ratio, and without #steamcracker processing. This new chemical recycling way, integrable to existing petrochemical plants, allows to produce recycled plastics having mechanical and sanitary properties identical to virgin plastics.   👉 After 3 years of research, we are currently investing in a significant plastic treatment pilot unit, which should be able to demonstrate, in continuous mode, the high "plastic to olefins" performances obtained at lab.   To those who are interested, you can see our deck on my profile. Answer: Thank you for question. We understand that our technology might seem counterintuitive, yet Timeplast is designed around the unique feature of programmable water resistance. This allows our materials to substitute many conventional plastic uses—even those in contact with water—without sacrificing their eventual full water solubility. Our plastics are engineered to perform effectively for a pre-programmed duration, as suggested by our name, Timeplast, and subsequently dissolve completely without leaving any toxic residues. Timeplast materials transition from a partially hydrophobic state to fully hydrophilic, dissolving safely from polymer levels (~50,000g/mol) down to naturally occurring levels (~500g/mol). We begin with inherently safe materials to ensure no harmful byproducts emerge. Unlike conventional plastics, which can degrade into microplastics with ultra-high molecular weights, Timeplast materials are designed to avoid such outcomes. Moreover, Timeplast is recyclable and reusable, performing optimally even when discarded. Items made from Timeplast, such as reusable containers and packaging exposed to moisture or high humidity, maintain their integrity until they meet a significant mass of water, such as in a river, lake, or ocean, for 60 continuous hours, at which point they fully dissolve. In essence, we control the dissolution rate of Timeplast from as little as 60 seconds to indefinitely, making it adaptable for various applications. WE WON A 2ND EU GRANT TO STOMP™ OUT TEXTILE WASTE! Via our existing Tex2Tex™ technology and supply chain we have already demonstrated largescale commercial success in 100% polyester textile-to-textile thermo-mechanical recycling. Polyester blended fabrics represent a considerable part of the synthetic post-consumer #textilewaste stream though, especially combinations of polyester with elastane. Even though elastane normally only represents 1-10% of the fiber content of these fabrics to achieve proper stretch function, even this small component interferes with our current #textilerecycling process. Next generation Tex2Tex™ STOMP™, Separation Technology Of Mixed Polymers, will allow us to recycle much more post-consumer textile waste. We'll be able to remove elastane from polyester/elastane blends without damaging the polyester. We'll also clean up the dyes, auxiliaries, and chemicals within the fabrics, within the same efficient process. #sustainabletextiles and #circularfashion are one step closer with the launch of this EU-supported #recycledpolyester project. On top of recycling data for brands and recycling centres, the BIG PRIZE is a Digital Deposit Return Scheme (DDRS) - legislation will be implemented in the UK and Europe over the next few years. Unfortunately the incumbents (TOMRA) who make the physical deposit return machines and their attack-dogs ('independent' think tanks) have been lobbying hard against a DDRS. Reasons why DDRS must win: - Why burn fuel and time to drive to a supermarket and wait inline at the machine to get your 20p when you can just drop it in your home recycling bin and claim the 20p on your phone? - Why build hundreds of thousands of carbon intensive physical deposit return machines when everyone has a phone and a home recycling bin? - Why create a carbon intensive reverse logistics network to collect recycling from reverse vending machines when the council is collecting it kerbside already? - Why give your valuable glass, cans and plastic to the private sector when the council uses your waste to subsidise its services (https://lnkd.in/d8rfqH3V)? .
