It was great to speak at ASCO Breakthrough this week on how AI is impacting how we practice oncology. The greatest potential I see for AI in healthcare is in improving, not replacing, what physicians can do for a patient. If as an industry we can get to a point where we’re using AI and data generated within the health system to make better decisions for the next patient, we can enable faster, more precise treatment for patients across the board. I also enjoyed meeting many of my clinical colleagues and have been so impressed with the ways that they have leveraged technologies to address the hardest problems around drug discovery, care access, and equitable population management within oncology.
