What has your child(ren) done this week to make you proud of them? Acknowledging the little things that our children do is more important than celebrating the big achievements. And this is why.... The little things are done more often and daily. They are the reasons for your children achieving the bigger goals. So when they study without being nagged, help out in the house without being asked, or share a compliment, take a moment to celebrate them. Notice what they have done. And the more you do this ... you will notice the more they will do. Try it

SimpleCitizen recently partnered with a group of government, non-profit and local service organizations to help new arrivals complete employment authorization documents. Our software helped eligible attendees self-generate their immigration forms, while volunteer attorneys and accredited DOJ representatives reviewed them for legal accuracy. To me, this is a partnership that demonstrates what scalable access to justice solutions can look like when you bring together for-profit tech businesses, legal aid providers and community organizations to solve urgent problems. If you're interested in learning more about how we do this work (pro bono) please reach out. #legalinnovation Robert Ambrogi and Sarah Glassmeyer, I can't help but tag you both here in light of your recent posts about the potential of private/public/non-profit #legaltech partnerships.

You make two solid points here, Michael, including (1) a Master’s degree itself is weakly correlated to #TeacherExcellence and (2) paying teachers more overall would widen and deepen the pool of talented candidates. If I were starting my physics teaching career today, rather than 30 years ago, I would be able to command a near 6-figure salary in select parts of the country and that figure will only increase in the near term. One key point to add here regards the leaders with whom teachers work. Teachers are attracted to schools with world-class leadership…instructionally, organizationally, developmentally, etc. Teachers leave education due to factors that #SchoolLeadership directly controls. If we increase #PrincipalExcellence we will do more to improve the teacher pipeline than exorbitant raises ever could. s4e.com

I provide administrative services by facilitating optimal workflow to stakeholders throughout the project management processes on design for health & wellness while expanding UMC within West Texas & Eastern New Mexico.
Some employers offer assistance & resources for higher education. BUT, how many employers offer free GED & ESL resources, especially onsite for employees? Seeing this post has made my day & further solidify why I choose to work for UMC. Lowering barriers & making education accessible helps create (better levelling & elevating) opportunities for employees. 😊
Please join us in congratulating Abbey Delozier, Irma Flores, and Destiny Garcia on their recent graduation from the GED Program! The partnership between UMC and Literacy Lubbock provides no-cost educational opportunities, including General Education Diploma (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) resources for our employees. UMC is the first employer to offer on-site classes through Literacy Lubbock, with sessions scheduled during shift changes to make attendance easier.
