We recently congratulated two of our wonderful colleagues on their well-deserved retirements. One of them was Mark Smith. 2wOur journey began on September 7, 2010 when Veritex acquired Professional Bank where he served as President. In fact, Mark once shared with me he would give this Veritex Bank "thing" a trial run for a year or two and if it didn't work . . . Well, it's been over 13 years since! He has led with an unwavering commitment to humbly serve others, leaving behind a legacy defined by integrity, wisdom, and kindness. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for his leadership, dedication, and compassion for clients and teammates over the past 13 years. Mark, as you transition into a well-deserved retirement, know that your contributions are deeply appreciated and will always be remembered. We wish you nothing but happiness, health, and fulfillment in all your future endeavors, whether that involves time at the ranch, captaining a catamaran in the Carribean, sailing on Lake Ray Hubbard, enjoying fine tequila, or fishing with friends!
