Last week I interviewed Tiffany English. The co-founder, of a top 100 brand on TikTok Shop: Happiest Hour. I finished our discussion with a very simple question: "We talk so much about all the tactics and strategies in this new ecosystem... But what is the ONE THING everyone is missing?" Her response, equally simple, but forgotten amongst the chaos of today's market: "You Have To Take Care Of Your Customer" It's easy for brands to say that publicly. Far more difficult to do. Go look at the last 100 comments and videos from Happiest Hour customers and you'll see what I mean. The difference between "customer service" and "serving your customer" is the gap between a good brand and a great brand. -- Full episode Iinked below!

Bitcoin is for everyone and no podcast embodies that more than The Progressive Bitcoiner. Everyone likes free stuff, too! 😁 There's a lot of FUD out there about Bitcoin and the environmental impact of its energy usage, but one of my favorite episodes of TPB addresses much of that concern by discussing how Bitcoin can actually benefit the environment. Give it a listen (and then listen to the rest of the episodes)! https://lnkd.in/givEBb45

Last year, our Valentine's Day email went viral... But before this success, we hit a wall. When our original idea got held up at legal approval, Daniel Wiersema suggested I write a love poem to our customers. What happened after that, we could have never predicted. Nikki Elbaz interviewed me for her podcast, Email Swipes, to hear the full story. Give a listen and you'll hear: (4:00) How lack of legal approval actually inspired a better email (9:05) The elements that gave this email an authentic feeling of caring (10:50) Why it’s okay that this email’s impressions aren’t measurable (13:43) Why I swipe from social media strategy (14:50) The viral response the email generated—and how the Bitly team snowballed its visibility (18:04) The only thing I would change about the email (21:42) Why I do NOT take inspiration from the emails in my inbox Finally, here’s the link again to the page with all the popular streaming platforms: https://lnkd.in/gT_Yd-Vq

After a brief hiatus to welcome my daughter to the world #newmom 🤱 Mastering the Art of Failing is back for Episode 6. In the latest episode, Elliot V. and had the incredible opportunity to dive into the journey of Phillip Jackson, from his early days dreaming of rock stardom inches away from playing Warped Tour (hashtag jealous) to founding Future Commerce. Phillip's story is a testament to the unexpected paths life takes us on and how our passions can evolve into our life's work. 🎸➡️🚀 His narrative is not just about music or business; it's about embracing the journey, learning from every high and low, and ultimately finding a way to blend passion with profession. Phillip's transition from musician to tech and e-commerce, all while navigating the challenges of life and love, resonates deeply with anyone striving to make their mark in the world. 🌍💼 What struck me the most was how Phillip's early experiences equipped him with unique skills and perspectives, propelling him into the world of e-commerce and media. It's a powerful reminder that our backgrounds, no matter how diverse, contribute significantly to our current roles and future successes. 🛠️📈 #PodcastInsights #CareerJourneys #FutureCommerce #EmbraceTheJourney #ProfessionalGrowth

I recently had the opportunity to attend both a Harlem Globetrotters show and a Dude Perfect performance in Kansas City, and the contrast between the two experiences was striking. While the Globetrotters have been entertaining audiences with their unique blend of basketball skills and showmanship for nearly a century, their recent performance felt dated and lackluster compared to the high-energy, engaging show put on by Dude Perfect. Despite the Globetrotters' incredible legacy, it's clear that they're struggling to keep up with the changing tastes and expectations of modern audiences. Dude Perfect's ability to sell twice as many seats as the Globetrotters is a testament to the power of innovation and adaptability in the entertainment industry. As leaders, it's easy to become complacent when you've built a successful brand over many years. After all, every dollar we make is a reason not to change anything. And the Globetrotters have a lot of reasons to keep things as they are. However, in today's rapidly evolving entertainment landscape, even the most iconic institutions must adapt to stay relevant. If the Harlem Globetrotters want to continue inspiring and entertaining audiences for another 100 years, they must be willing to embrace change and update their approach. In my keynotes, I often talk about the need to reimagine how we deliver our services. To literally start with a blank sheet of paper and imagine version 2.0 vs. making incremental improvements. For instance, I strongly feel that the game between the Globetrotters and the Generals should be a real game vs a fake one. And perhaps there are consequences or bonuses based on who actually wins. Have you seen the show? What would you add?

New episode with David Omari! At 19 years old, David worked at Macy’s for $7/hr but he knew he couldn’t do it for long, so he started a YouTube channel on the side to monetize his hobby. That decision has led to over 5,000,000 in YouTube Adsense earnings: 3 Big Takeaways 1. You must bet on yourself first. Sometimes you are going to be the only person that sees a certain vision for yourself. You must follow that instinct. 2. The only sure way to get results on YouTube is to focus on what’s currently working for other people, analyze it and switch it to fit your content. 3. There’ll always be setbacks, so just use them as motivation. David's account was shutdown at 50k subs, so he created another channel and grew it to 100k subs in 3 months.
