Hey Verizon Business, I think you have the potential for great support and great products, but your retail salespeople lie through their teeth, the billing is some of the most complex and confusing I’ve come across, and now I think I was painted into another corner after an offer too good to be true was presented to me. I know I’m a small fish compared to most, but can I have a contact person through FIOS instead a of spinning my wheels when the $700 bill I wasn’t expecting comes through? If we get this resolved I’ll never have a bad thing to say, but I have to get this straightened out and need a sales rep who made a commission to help me. ✅
Leonardo's commitment to empowering students is truly inspiring. It's heartening to see professionals like him using their free time to make a meaningful impact. Thank you for setting such a positive example, Verizon.
🌐 The Power of Global Connection in Local Excellence 🌐
This week, the air was electric with inspiration as EF International Language Schools' managers from across the UK and Ireland convened. In a vibrant melting pot of ideas and experiences, we came together with a shared purpose: to elevate the way we empower each other and our students!
Our gathering was more than a meeting of minds; it was a celebration of cultural diversity, pedagogic innovation, and managerial expertise. We delved into the fabric of our successes, unwinding the threads of our achievements to weave a tapestry of best practices. Each story of success was a beacon, each account of challenge, a lighthouse guiding us away from potential reefs. I am Portuguese, from a land of navigators. Through storms and the unknown we changed the world and made it global 😊! EF is all about changing the world while living the language.
In the heart of this collaboration, we discovered that our collective wisdom is our greatest teacher. As managers, we are the catalysts of our students' aspirations, and when we learn from each other, we magnify the impact of our efforts.
I left our meeting inspired, reminded that when we unite in our quest for improvement, the boundaries of what we can achieve expand infinitely. Let's continue to share, grow, and lead in education, transforming every challenge into a stepping stone for success.

Proud to support European Women on Boards (EWOB)’s Board Readiness Program, where excellence meets opportunity. Why do we still need these initiatives in 2024? Because:
‼️ While women make up 17.4% of board members (DAX, MDAX, SDAX) in Germany, there is 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 (!) 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐄𝐎 of a DAX 40 company: Belén Garijo (CEO of Merck).
‼️ While the proportion of women on supervisory boards (DAX, MDAX, SDAX) is 36.1%, in Germany there are 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 of supervisory boards of the 160 listed companies.
Key facts above: Lea-Sophie Cramer 🙌🏻
36 women from Belgium, Turkey, Germany, Ireland, Iran, Greece and many other countries are coming together for the first time. 💫
We are very proud to welcome the 4th cohort of EWOB Board Readiness Program (BRP)!
This 3-month experience is both tactical preparation for future board positions and an opportunity to build a supportive network, committed to being strong advocates for each other, and unabashedly visible.
Welcome everyone, we are excited to have you here - and we wish all a great first session on 'Developing a strategic pathway to the boardroom'. 🚀

Monetary incentives are great, but it doesn’t drive employee engagement. People feel engaged when they are seen, appreciated, involved, developed, and trusted.
I’m beyond grateful that my work provides me with abundant opportunities to support others in their development.
Thank you for your kind words, M. Faris Danial, PMI-CDP. Your heartfelt appreciation is a reward sweeter than monetary incentives.

Last month, I had the opportunity to visit The Hague, Netherlands, where I met an amazing individual named Winda. We connected through an internal career coaching program and little did I know that this encounter would have a profound impact on my life.
Throughout the program, Winda's guidance helped me discover more about myself, sparking a strong desire to pursue my passion. Our discussions, no matter how small, played a significant role in reshaping my short and long-term career plans, aligning them with what I truly aspire to achieve.
I am incredibly grateful for her sincere interest in my growth and success that serves as a great catalyst, inspiring me to redefine my goals and priorities. This life-changing encounter has set me on a path filled with purpose and determination.
Thank you Shell for the opportunity provided, enabling me to meet wonderful people who have had a positive influence on my personal and professional growth.

Challenge and Resilience, It's continuous.
Some of you may know that, I volunteer on the Contingent Management Team for Roverway 2024—an upcoming European International Scout Camp for 16-22 year old's scheduled for July, in Norway.
When I took on the CMT role a year ago, I anticipated it would be busy, but it would only be 18 months of busy and a whole life time of pride.
12 months in and Norway announced they've over estimated their capacity and a 40% reduction in participant numbers for all contingents exceeding 96 members. 96. We had over 550 committed participants, and now we face the daunting task of navigating this significant cut.
2 things...
1) Selecting those 60% to retain is a complex decision.
2) Ensuring those affected still have some kind of international opportunity is a main focus. But if attainable, what does this look like?
This has been and will be our task over Christmas, to find these answers and maintain transparency with our young people.
We don't know too much in this moment, but what I am certain about is that we have an incredible team. Though we may be small, we are mighty, comprised of incredible individuals with a range of experience and expertise, who are motivated, passionate and empowered to do the best we can.
I also know that our young people are phenomenal, if the World Jamboree didn't prove it, our Youth Forum did. Their patience and understanding were evident during the recent Youth Forum, where they continued to work on supporting members and patrols, uncertain of their own journey's continuity.
So, may be this cut wasn't what we expected, but life never is. I have no doubt the next 6 months wont be a little rough, but when you are surrounded by so many incredible people, there's always silver linings to motivate you through.
Huge love for my team, and this wild trip we're on!
📢 We have exciting news about our scholarships and awards… lots of opportunities for your members and chapters to be recognized! 📢

This was one of the first events I attended as an EmployIndy team member and it's still one of my favorite events each year. So what? I'll tell you what:
1.) If you're doing great things at your organization around DEIB, NOMINATE yourself!! Tell people about why it's important to you and what it means to be a great organization.
2.) Attend! If you aren't fully confident in where you are at on the DEIB journey, that's ok! Attending this event is such a great way to network with others and learn how you can move the needle. (Pst, I know some people that can help you with those goals too).

As the dust settles on the 20th edition of the Absa Cape Epic 🚵♀️, it's time to look back at the incredible journey that unfolded. The grand finale at Coetzenburg Stadium in Stellenbosch was more than just the end of a race; it was a celebration of endurance, strategic brilliance, and the unwavering human spirit.
This year's course, with its 603km and 16,050m elevation gain, challenged participants to the core, highlighting the importance of mental fortitude alongside physical preparation. Teams, ranging from UCI pros, masters, mixed and amateurs, showcased that success in this race demands a perfect blend of strategy and resilience.
Special recognition goes to #TeamAbsa + #SheUntamed who illuminated the routes with their exemplary teamwork and sheer determination.
What truly sets the #AbsaCapeEpic apart is the relentless demand for adaptability and foresight. Knowing when to push limits, how to navigate unpredictable terrain, and the critical role of teamwork were decisive factors in overcoming the elements and technical challenges.
In this race, success is not measured solely by podium finishes, but by the bonds forged, the obstacles overcome, and the spirit of collaboration that permeates every aspect of the journey.
As we celebrate the achievements of all participants, their stories underscore the vital role of the human spirit in conquering monumental challenges. These lessons learned from the trails are invaluable, reminding us that any challenge, no matter how epic, can be overcome. For in this race, as in life, we are stronger together 🎉
Every participant, every team, every moment of struggle, and triumph reinforces that #YourStoryMatters!
