In May, I qualified for an early upgrade and returned my old device. On June 8, 2024, I received confirmation from Verizon that they had received my device. When I followed up in July, I was told the credit would be applied by the next billing cycle. In August, I received a disconnection notice despite paying my regular bill, including upgrade fees. A representative set up a payment arrangement for August 23rd and promised to follow up but never did. My service was disconnected during a business meeting, and I spent four hours at a Verizon store with no resolution. I was forced to make a $652 payment, most of which should have been credited. Afterward, I called Verizon and provided my ITTS ticket number. The representative assured me they would monitor my account, but as of September 5, 2024, I have not heard back. When I called again today, I spoke with a representative who was dismissive and unhelpful. After escalating, a supervisor only offered to credit me a $20 reconnection fee, which is unacceptable given the time and frustration I’ve endured. This situation is unprofessional, and as a long-time customer, I expected better. I’m now considering switching carriers and will not hesitate to share my experience publicly.
