Cujo wrote an awesome book called #debrieftowin inspired from his years of experience as F15 and F22 fighter pilot and an explemplary and honarable career with the Air Force. I just ordered a copy. According to the @gallup poll, employee engagement is at an all time low of 23%, 59% quiet quitting and 18% are loud quitting Here are some of the key takeaways from the 3.5 hour long workshop - "Victim Mentality" should not be tolerated - Bombarding soul with constant negativity does not help - Hope and Optimism no matter how bad it is out there - Delivering what I promise to do - Concept of Shared Accountability. If one fails, we all fail. Its about supporting one another. - Its a leadership function to drive accountability - Leadership = Accountability Accountability = Leadership - Offer "Pyschological Safety" at workflow. Free to speak their mind in order ot harness accountability - No plan survives first contact with the enemy fire(ARMY). In execution, we have to make better decisions. - Create a Learning Culture with a high level of Pyschological Safety - Commanders Intent: Give clear deliverables - Accountability has to be ritualized - If we have not planned correctly, we do not have a right to practice accountability What is Debrief? A constructive evaluation of the quality of decisions and actions measured against the objectives we set to achieve. I hope you can pick up his book. 🐥 Let’s talk about culture… 🐥 When I first got my license, I would borrow my dad’s Jeep Wrangler. One of the conditions for me borrowing his Jeep was that I would do the mandatory “Jeep wave” when I saw other Wranglers. It’s something I thought was kind of weird because it meant I had to wave at strangers… Now that I’ve owned my own Jeep for 5 years and counting, I catch myself doing it out of habit. I’ve had friends in the car notice it and say “that’s a real thing?” Another cool part of Jeep culture is “ducking” each other. See a cool Jeep, leave a duck. It’s something I enjoy and have a lot of fun with. I’ll go through a drive thru and have people comment on all of my ducks… occasionally I’ve had someone apologize for not having a duck to give me in the drive thru 😂😂😂 I already was sold on having a Jeep but the members of the community make it even more fun and will probably have me in a Jeep for a long time to come. Back to work tomorrow after a really good week off! Day 312 - Week 43 - 2024 Tyre Time and SK Cornerstone story .. When was just getting SK Cornerstone off the ground, and things were tough i went to all our suppliers and ask for help ....extending my payment terms on 1 large invoice for 120 days to 160 days .. I didn’t have the funds to get new tires, but I needed to run the 5 trucks to make it all work and push the cash flow... That’s when Henry from Tyre Time trusted me and gave us five full sets of tires when I had nowhere else to turn on credit pay when you can ....I paid him over 120 days to 140 days ...before to total invoice was cleared up... Today, We have options—plenty of suppliers knocking at our door.... But we still choose Tyre Time...Not because we have to, but because loyalty means everything to us....
