CTI SYMPOSIUM - Automotive • Powertrain • Systems, ZF Group, and ACT Expo / ACT News
Today was filled with great discussions and insightful remarks on the future of Commercial Vehicle powertrains at the CTI SYMPOSIUM - Automotive • Powertrain • Systems.
The industry is marching towards a carbon-free future while focusing to overcome infrastructure limitations and creating TCO optimized solutions that make sense for the end user.
BEV’s are the endgame but not a short-term one fits all solution. Depending on regional boundary conditions in regard to infrastructure, legislation and clean energy availability, customers will choose from a diverse array of electric, hydrogen, diesel or alternative fuel powered vehicles to serve the individual need of the application.
A diverse landscape of powertrain choices will become the "new normal", such as clean transmissions, integrated eAxles, and hybrid transmissions. This shift highlights the critical importance of product portfolio modularity, efficiency focus and deep software-based system integration.
And equally important becomes the flexibility in manufacturing capacity balancing between those technologies. This adaptability is vital for market demand based operations.
By focusing on TCO-optimized solutions, we aim to achieve sustainability without compromising cost-effectiveness. These elements together will shape the future of commercial vehicle powertrains.
At ZF Group, our strategic investments in an industry-leading modular eDrive portfolio and best-in-class conventional transmission systems, positions us uniquely to meet these future challenges.
Thank you to all who listened in and let's continue to have these "electrifying" discussions at @ACT Expo next week in Las Vegas!
