A big thank you to STMicroelectronics for sending me a sample of their new ultra low-power U0-series of processors. These processors are designed for battery applications and I will be using it for new product designs. Many of the peripherals are aimed for low power applications. One such peripheral is the MSI (Multispeed Internal Clock Source) and since it is integrated it gives you the following benefits: -> Flexibility: multiple selectable frequencies for optimal performance and power use. -> Low power consumption -> Integrated Solution: eliminates the need for external oscillator, saving cost and space -> Fast wake-up: quick startup from low power modes -> Cost Reduction: Reduces BOM cost -> Enhanced Reliability: less susceptible to noise and environmental variations

😎 Thank you Marta! 1. Increased Agility and Control Authority: - A CMG cluster typically operates on fixed axes. Adding a rotary axis allows the entire CMG cluster to reorient dynamically, which can enhance the agility of the system by providing more degrees of freedom in force vectoring. This means that the system can respond more efficiently to torque demands in any direction, improving overall control authority. 2. Improved Singularities Avoidance: - CMGs are susceptible to gimbal lock, which occurs when the system’s configuration restricts its ability to generate torque in a particular direction. A rotary axis for the whole cluster can help avoid these singularities by adjusting the entire set's orientation, giving it more operational flexibility and making it easier to navigate through singularity zones. 3. Torque Distribution Flexibility: - Having the ability to rotate the cluster itself enables more optimized distribution of torque across the individual CMGs. This can be especially useful in situations where certain CMGs are reaching saturation or are in suboptimal orientations, as the added rotational freedom of the entire cluster can help equalize the load. 4. Enhanced Redundancy: - If one or more CMGs are compromised or saturated, the rotary axis could potentially help the system compensate by adjusting the orientation of the remaining functioning CMGs to maintain control without the need for immediate desaturation or CMG replacement. 5. Reduced Energy for Desaturation: - With an additional rotary axis, the cluster could be positioned to facilitate the desaturation process of individual CMGs more efficiently. Instead of needing to rely on thrusters or other methods for desaturation, reorienting the cluster could reduce the energy required for desaturation maneuvers.

I'm thrilled to announce that me and my teammate Omar Soliman , recently completed an exciting project aimed to correct power factor in electrical systems by implementing a capacitor bank (represented by LEDs) controlled by Arduino Uno. Key Components: • Arduino Uno: Used as the central microcontroller. • LCD Keypad Shield: Interface for user interaction and system monitoring. • LEDs: Employed to simulate capacitor steps switching and provide visual feedback. • Rotary Encoder: Used to help the user adjustment for desired power factor. Project Details: Mode 1 We integrated Arduino Uno to continuously measure & sample electrical parameters (Current & voltage signals) on its Analog channels , calculating RMS values and displaying them. Mode 2 Power Calculations (Average Power & PF) , Detecting lagging or leading PF by checking the time of occurrence of peak value in each signal , then displaying. Mode 3 Interfacing Rotary Encoder for user to adjust desired PF , could also be adjusted using Keypad shield on LCD (Up & Down buttons). Mode 4 Compensation of Reactive power depends on calculated PF : 1) If leading PF , there'll be no need for compensation. 2) If lagging PF, user desired PF is lower than load PF , there'll be no need for compensation. 3) If lagging PF ,user desired PF is higher than calculated PF, compensation is done with the lowest possible combination to prevent overcompensation (using least number of capacitors in system). 4) If lagging very low PF, not enough capacitance in system for required PF (all capacitor bank is used) Each LED represents specific capacitor in system, it lights up whenever the corresponding capacitor value is used in compensation. Select Button in LCD keypad shield is used to switch between different modes. For More details about the project please check: https://lnkd.in/dy2qzUf8
