The world of creative methods is huge and one of the reasons why we wrote our books and developed the Innovation.wiki. 🔥 And even though we ✨ love ✨ using methods, we realise over and over again that people either don't use creative methods at all or at least always use the same ones. 🫣 That's an incredible shame, because creative methods can do so much more than just generate ideas. In today's Innovation Navigator article ‘Use of creativity techniques | What do they really do?’, we show you exactly what they can do. 💡 As always, you can find the full article linked in the comments. ⤵️ #creativmethod #creativity #workshopinspiration #theinnovatorsdictionary

I bet we've all heard that goals should be SMART. ✅ So today we just want to give you a quick reminder, because goals are essential to a project. ⚠️ In the context of an innovation project, SMART helps set the direction of a problem-solving process and focus the process well and efficiently. SMART gives direction to the subsequent process and a basis for ideation of what to look for (rather than what to avoid). And just so you read it again, here are the letters of the SMART acronym and what they stand for. 👇 S equals specific M equals measurable A equals ambitious R equals realistic T equals scheduled. #smart #projectgoals #projectplanning #smartgoals #theinnovatorsdictionary

You have a lot of great ideas but can't make a decision? 🤔 Today's method will help you. How about the idea profile? 🙇 It is used to record and describe ideas and to check their chances of success and realization. ✅ Ideas can be collected in this way and expanded into a central pool of ideas. 💡 But how does the method work? ❓ The idea profile is essentially divided into the areas of problem, solution and evaluation. 👇 Structure the contents of your fact sheet as follows: 1️⃣ name of the idea, the idea generator, sequence number and date of submission. 2️⃣ brief description of the initial problem 3️⃣ introduction of the idea (describe your idea in five to ten sentences plus a sketch). 4️⃣ benefits and advantages of the solution (state three to ten positive arguments for your solution idea). 5️⃣ risks and weaknesses of the solution (Criticize your solution and give suggestions on how possible weaknesses could be remedied). 6️⃣ evaluation of the idea (formulate your personal assessment in two to three sentences). 💡 We went through the following advantages and disadvantages with the method: ➕ Advantages: With the help of the idea profile, ideas can be recorded in a uniform and structured manner. The idea profile is versatile and easy to understand. It ensures the quality of the idea submission and can be expanded into a company's own idea pool. The clear form makes it easier to track and evaluate ideas. Discarded ideas can be relevant and referred to again at a later date. ➖ Disadvantages: In the case of numerous idea submissions, the idea profile can generate a great deal of paperwork and administrative work. The information content can vary greatly depending on the quality of the chosen template. There is a risk of subjective assessment when evaluating ideas. #ideas #ideaevaluation #decisionmaking #innovationmethod #theinnovatorsdictionary
