We surveyed 100+ women from diverse industries, life stages, geographies and cultures to gain a better understanding of how they really feel about their life and career. We asked them what support they need and what they are wanting from a coaching programme to make the biggest difference to their leadership, life and career. ✨️ We asked women to tell us about their location, age, stage of life and stage of career ✨️ We asked them about their overall wellbeing and career satisfaction ✨️ We asked them what type of support and at what stages in their lives they most required support ✨️ We also asked women about what they'd most want from a development programme in terms of content, format and outcomes. There were some very interesting results from our key findings, so we used those results to create Women On Purpose, our group coaching programme for Singaporean women who want more from work and life. It's a 12 week programme designed to support, inspire, and help women to understand their own unique power so that they can use it in a way that works for them, their families and their teams. Head of Outsourced Solutions North America @ Nutun | Empowering Lives: Leading BPO Services from South Africa | Nutun Awards: Top BPO Operator in South Africa & Best Customer Service into Europe
Empowering Insights for Women in Business South Africa has a rich history of women leaders in business who have shattered glass ceilings and set new precedents and standards for how far women can go and how successful they can be as leaders, mentors and business owners. This fantastic piece by TechinAfrica showcases the unique wisdom and fascinating insights shared by veteran women leaders who have helped shape the leadership landscape for women in South Africa. One of the insights, put forward by both Deirdre King and Carol Ofori, is celebrating more traditionally “feminine” qualities once considered a disadvantage in the workplace. Empathy and emotional intelligence can be a leader’s greatest strengths when it comes to creating an impactful and authentic presence in the workplace and leading to greater innovation. Another perspective I found fascinating was the insight shared by Mandy Davis about Imposter Syndrome, something many working women (especially ones in leadership) encounter at some point in their careers. Mandy posits that women shouldn’t define their value by their role or position in their company, but by what they bring to the table and what value they add in their work. Acknowledging contributions and taking accountability for shortfalls and mistakes is also key here! With South Africa being such a focal point for women in business and leadership, there’s so much room and opportunity for women leaders to learn from one another. Women in leadership on my thread - do you have any advice or suggestions for other female leaders based on your experience? I’d love to hear them below! CCWomen #WomenInLeadership #WomenEmpowerment
