Have you ever wondered what makes buoys and marine floats so effective in our seas and waterways? The answer lies in an incredible material: #polystyrene, which with its unique properties of lightness and buoyancy make it the perfect choice for these marine devices. Moreover, despite its lightness, polystyrene is resistant to water absorption, ensuring consistent performance in harsh marine environments. #chemistrybypeopleforpeople

During late summers, a private trout pond in Wisconsin grappled with an unwanted visitor: excessive algae. This unwelcome guest would throw the water quality off balance, putting the health of the trout at risk. 🐟 Gregory Eirschele, a chemical engineer who owns and fishes in this pond, tried a conventional aeration system, but it did not improve the water quality. 💧 He then installed Moleaer’s nanobubble technology, which resulted in clearer, better quality water, less algae blooms, and healthier trout in his pond. 🌿 Download the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/g3aAbcdp Please follow Moleaer Inc. to learn more about #nanobubbletechnology and water. #nanobubbles #cleanwater

🌊 Could tidal energy be the next surge in the UK? 🌊 First with Solar, then with Wind, previously complex and "expensive" forms of generating energy are now the norm across the UK and some of the cheapest forms of electricity available. With tidal currently still rather expensive, but in a growing industry with very high potential, what do you think about the future of Tidal energy in the UK? #tidalenergy #renewableenergy #opergy #sae #letstalk

Here's a common question about our process that we get asked a lot: "Do you mostly collect algae from the ocean?" Although plankton, kelp, and seaweed are all types of algae, we mainly harvest algae from lakes, rivers, ponds, and wastewater treatment plants. This "green-algae" is found in freshwater sources and is at the heart of what we do. What questions do you have for us? Ask below! #MadeWithBLOOM #algae

Having commissioned the large FWS wetland near Ashford, we are now monitoring it to ensure that vegetation is becoming established and water quality is improving. Some replanting may be required, but early lab results are showing treatment efficiencies of 42% for Total Nitrogen and 80% for Total Phosphorus. These will undoubtedly change as we go through the year, but it's an encouraging start. #constructedwetlands #nutrientneutrality #naturebasedsolutions #nitrogen #phosphorus

Bacteria Driven Dredging. Being told you need to dredge your pond or lake can be overwhelming to hear. This is why we offer our Bio-Dredge Program. The natural bacteria in the pellet slowly breaks down the mucky substrate in which it settles. Though this is a slow process, it is a much more affordable option and a great investment towards the health of a waterbody over time. Bio-Dredge can also be used on ponds that recently had a physical dredging to help maintain your physical dredge investment.
