Definitely advocating for work-life-balance, and family first culture and approach towards work. I've only been working for 6 years, yet I think I have experienced some of the worst/terrible managers ever. One example in particular, I have experienced encountering a series of medical emergencies back home (aging parents and a relative who means so much), then this new manager I was transferred to told me I should evaluate my attitude towards work because always going on emergency leave/asking for a WFH during these emergency times have been affecting my attendance; hence, my overall performance. But it wasn't the case. My previous manager (before the transfer) was very satisfied with my work performance and gave me a competitive (not perfect but outstanding at the very least) work rating based on a series of KPIs. I knew then that I will encounter a series of problems with this new manager, whenever I will prioritize my family or well-being over work matters. As time went by, I felt that the new manager's leadership was going more toxic (micro-managing and blaming just about whomever), and every time I needed support, I don't find it. And so I resigned from that post. In conclusion, I want to express my agreement in this quote originally posted by Neil Germo and hopefully set an example to be bold and courageous in choosing your family, health, and well-being (be it physically, mentally, or emotionally) over any career; especially when that job is already exhausting. There will be, and certainly there are other environments where your growth, and love of family will be supported. #worklifebalance #familyfirst #passionpurposeproductivity

The moment in the profession when one starts to work not for self but for some authority, the gradual shift starts from the work centric approach to the authority appeasement approach which is detrimental for the professional as well as the organisation. I have always been a staunch supporter of independent steering within the policy of the organisation, to work independently and provide similar opportunities to fellow workers. Exactly the reverse is true for personal life. The life which we live with our families, society as well as our co-workers. We must live and work for others. The more we work for others, the better humans we become.
