We aim to offer an inventory of the possibilities that a national NGO can seize to mobilize resources. To show how an organization should prepare to pursue a sustainable resource mobilization strategy. To detail what should be included in a resource mobilization strategy. To demonstrate that beyond traditional fundraising possibilities, many solutions exist to bring together the necessary means necessary for projects’ implementation. Since November 2023, we have managed more 80 interviews with representatives of NNGOs, INGOs, Donors, UN Agencies, Red Cross Committee, Corporations or members of the diasporas. With several networks' help, we are launching a survey to gather information from more than 1 000 persons involved in the sector to have representative statistics on our topic. The Beyond Barriers website is here! Funded by USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, the Beyond Barriers project, led by Concern Worldwide, was designed to examine the barriers to a more locally-led humanitarian response. At the core of this research are hundreds of hours of interviews, workshops, and focus group discussions from across the project’s five study contexts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Bangladesh, Malawi, and NW Syria, paired with a global survey reaching across 60 countries. In partnership with a team of researchers from the Centre for Environmental Policy and Advocacy (CEPA), Innovations & Entrepreneuriat Social (IES), New Access Consulting (NAC), Trust Consultancy & Development (Trust), and Mahfuza Mala & Farah Anzum, the Beyond Barriers project developed operational tools based on research findings in order to create a more inclusive #humanitarian system that allows for preparedness, response, and recovery efforts to be led by those who are directly affected by a crisis. Now, with the newly launched Beyond Barriers website, these operational tools and research findings are available to support humanitarian stakeholders as they work towards the vision of a more locally-led humanitarian sector. https://lnkd.in/e-WK7UBc
