I've posted this before and comments/messages come close to death threats. It's insane how emotional people can get while simultaneously being blind to standards. Here we go again. 👉There are multiple color guards behind the casket. Not a problem. More than one color guard is common at first responder funerals (departments bring their own colors) and massing of the colors ceremonies where dozens upon dozens of teams show up. ❌We should never drape a flag on a body. The Flag Code specifically states to not put the flag into a situation where it can be easily soiled. A dead body is not the cleanest environment. ❌An interment flag can be placed on a closed casket, folded in waves on a half open casket, or folded into a triangle and placed near the head just inside the lid of the casket. That's it. ❌K9s and MWDs are considered a member of the agency or service. They receive similar honors. 👉It's terrible to lose a pet dog, we have buried many. It must be worse to bury the dog that protects you and others. 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals! Download them free at the Resources page here: www.thedrillmaster.org . Today is Flag Day…. Happy Flag Day. Do you know the rules of the flag? Let me refresh your memory: 1. There's a right and a wrong way to hang the flag vertically. 2. Avoid letting the flag touch the ground. 3. Know the difference between half-staff and half-mast. 4. Fly your flag on half-staff at the right times. 5. Only fly a flag at night if it is illuminated. 6. Don't fly the flag when it rains. 7. Always fly the American flag above other flags. 8. Only fly a flag in good condition. 9. Dispose of an old flag in a respectful manner. 10. Fold your flag properly before storing it. #flagday #starsandstripes #redwhiteandblue #respectourflag #kurtsellscali

Ignoring the "experts" who just heap the attacks, let's look at the flag at half-staff/mast. How could I possibly state that only the national should be on the halyard? Because the halfway point of the pole is where the halfway point of the hoist (measurement from top to bottom) of the flag should be. Any flag below the national looks bad and could possibly touch something or even someone below it. How else do we know that only the national should be on the halyard? The Flag Code, TC 3-21.5, MCO 5060.20, and AFPAM 34-1203 all tell us the requirements for hoisting and lowering ONLY the national colors. Don't assume that by attaching other flags to the halyard that it follows to lower all of them. That isn't what our guidance tells us and we should not assume anything. Flags on separate poles/masts are a different story. All should be lowered to half and at the same height as the national, not "slightly" lower, if all the poles are the same height. If the national pole is taller, then the other flags will be lower. All flags are raised briskly, quickly!, and lowered solemnly, slowly. 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals! The New Milford, CT Mayor proudly violating the Flag Code. The comments are interesting. One said that national flags must be flown from separate masts. ⭐That's correct! A reply to that comment was "the other flags aren't on the mast." ❌That's just ignorance. @newmilfordct It's much easier to understand the application of the Flag Code with a pole or mast that does not have a crosstree and more halyards, I get that. National flags are NEVER flown from the halyards on which you see the flags of Canada and Mexico. Absolutely never. Those halyards are for state, county, and city flags, signal pennants and military unit flags only. The mast halyard is for the national and the another (state or POW) if the crosstree does not interfere with the second flag. I'm conclusion... Flying national flags below another flag, directly or (here) indirectly is highly insulting to the other countries. As a government official, a Mayor is required to adhere to the government's published standards. But, I'm just all tied up in regs and standards. 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals! Blurred Lines: The ability to gather intelligence before a strike can blur the lines between preemptive measures and hot pursuit. If a target is identified as posing an imminent threat based on real-time intelligence, the operation may be justified as a preemptive strike. Conversely, if the target is fleeing from a previous engagement, the strike may be classified as hot pursuit. This duality complicates the legal and ethical justifications for drone strikes.
