National Pet Week is May 5-11, 2024! Today's focus is Behavioral health for pets. Here's a word from the American Veterinary Medical Association: "Keep your pet happy and healthy by promoting positive interactions. Try creating an environment that encourages natural behaviors by introducing puzzles, games, and interactive toys, or learning new skills. Activities like target training are wonderful options for dogs and cats—and even other pets, like fish! You can also promote good behavior by helping your pets get comfortable in new situations by safely exposing them to a variety of interactions with other animals, people, places, and activities."

In business, we hear "Take the emotion out of the equation," as it impacts how we make decisions and how we react to circumstances. Pet parents are emotional decision-makers. They love their pets deeply; they're part of the family. An effective veterinary marketing strategy includes appealing to the emotional side of the decision-making process while providing clear, trustworthy information about veterinary services. Here are a few ideas: 🐾Share stories about successes, compassionate care, and happy pets. We all like happy endings. 🐾Showcase happy, healthy pets and your team interacting with them and share those images and videos on social media (with permission, of course!). Parents love to show off their furry kids. 🐾Convey empathy and understanding as you regularly communicate with your pet parents so they know you are relatable. 🐾Be transparent in treatment options and pricing. This builds trust and credibility. What other suggestions can you share with our LI community? #CVC #VetMarketing #MarketingStrategy
