Personal Development + Business Development = Extraordinary Success and Happiness! If work is your number one priority and top gauge of success in your life I believe you're NOT living, you're existing! Like this massive tree behind me, deep rooted growth takes time, but that's a good thing - that's what gives it stability. Many Americans seem to be stuck in the mindset that working themselves beyond reasonable standards will somehow lead them to success. I believe in hard work and have done plenty of it, but I also recognize the incredible value in balance. I've experienced how personal growth directly leads to business growth. This morning we spent a little over an hour soaking up the sunshine and fresh air hiking a few miles. While hiking, I listened to the podcast "The Business of Simple Living" on the "Consider the Wildflowers" channel. Sometimes I just enjoy the simplicity of being outside, but I'll often listen to podcasts that enhance the quality of life, and facilitate the realization of dreams and aspirations. I believe we find what we focus on. My day rarely starts at 8am behind my desk and I make no apologies for this. Taking care of myself first puts me in the best mindset and best position to take the best care of my clients as well. He reminds us that while it's crucial to have clear objectives… We have to remain open to unexpected opportunities. Have you ever experienced a moment where success or fulfillment came in an unexpected way? How did it challenge your preconceptions about manifesting the life you want? This episode delves into the importance of adaptability and recognizing opportunities, even when they come from unexpected places. It's a powerful reminder that life's twists and turns often lead us to where we need to be, not necessarily where we thought we should go. Growth Partner for Agency Founders | Creating Seven-Figure Potential through Strategic Repositioning, Modern Revenue Models, and Relationship-Based Sales
“To grow you have to fail between 1-6x you try something”. (Heard on an episode of Harvard Business Review's podcast with Adam Alter) Why do we so grossly underestimate what it takes to grow? Probably because success is portrayed through the lens of winning… and not through the full journey of what it actually took. People appear to have this overnight success story. You’re not hearing about the fact that they changed their career 4x. Got laid off. Lived in their parent’s basement. Had the door shut in their face so many times before a door opened. Adam talked about how we look at success and failure as so binary. As two ends of a spectrum. But what if we reframe failure (or learning) as part of success? That failure is a sign you’re on the right track… What if you’re getting better and stronger every time you fail? Are we collectively giving up too early before we reach success and instead following a path that gives us the easy wins and dopamine hits? And what would happen if we stuck with it a little bit longer? Would LOVE to hear some failures below… I’ll start. I went through a decade of burnout cycles before quitting my job with no new job lined up and no real network to tap into. I knew I wanted to be independent for a while as the idea of 9 to 5 made me nauseous. I had this idea of creating a community for biz dev people in the agency space. I wanted to create a business for my younger self, providing coaching and resources… and general support for this lonely role in agencies. After networking for a month, I realized no one was willing to pay for (or even try it for free). And if I wanted to make that idea work, there were things I could have done. But I wanted something that was more needed. And I started working with agency founders on BD and hit six figures in four months… so that felt like something I should keep building. My failures for sure didn’t stop there but I would have never landed on the business I have now without that series of missteps. Okay, your turn 👇. #AgencyLife #AgencyGrowth #AgencyOwner

What does success look like to you? "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." - Albert Schweitzer. This quotation reminds us that passion fuels success. Another insightful quote by Colin Powell says, "A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work." It emphasizes that success doesn't come easy; it's earned through relentless effort and tenacity. A few years back, I answered a question on success, and it goes like this: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘧𝘶𝘭? It only took a few seconds for me to respond because I knew the answer by heart: 𝗪𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. These two things combine the two quotes above. If you love what you're doing, you cannot wait to do it again each waking day of your life. And if you want to make your dream come true, you will work hard for it, and that includes shutting up to read hundreds of books and listening to thousands of podcasts on the matter. Let us strive to find joy in our endeavors and stay persistent in our hard work to achieve the pinnacle of success. Plan Master - Helping Businesses Grow & Scale Through Purpose-Driven Planning & Focused Accountability. Executive Management Advisor, Podcast Host, Author, and Coach.
Ann Carden dropped a truth bomb on our latest episode and it's got me rethinking the whole 'more is more' mindset. Is it possible that hustle culture has been leading us astray? Ann's philosophy is all about quality over quantity. Imagine this: instead of chasing down hundreds of clients, what if you only needed 20 to hit that million-dollar mark? Yep, that's the power of a premium business model. It's a streamlined approach that defies the traditional volume game. Ann's been there, done that, even with her health clubs – businesses that are typically all about volume. But she found a different way, a way that prioritizes high profit without the grind. In a world that glorifies busyness, Ann's strategy is a breath of fresh air. It's not about working harder, it's about working smarter. Could this premium approach be the secret to true business success? Listen to Ann Carden's insights and decide for yourself.

On Friday, I resigned from my corporate job. 👀 I have been HUSTLING and grinding since 2020. I have been envisioning this day for years. An overnight success, is just a bunch of late nights for years on end that nobody knows about. There wasn’t a right time. There wasn’t a right way. There wasn’t a backup. The one thing I was lacking this whole time, was self belief. When I started believing I could do anything, learn anything, and be anything…everything changed. Patience breeds acceptance to truth. Self belief breeds alignment with purpose. The last decade of my life has been dedicated to the military and the corporate world. Two things that taught me a lot, but had their time stamp. My weekends and evenings were spent on my passion projects. I launched a podcast, modeled, built an online coaching business, networked, listened to more podcasts, read more books, trained, and enhanced self belief and confidence. Oh…and I failed a lot along the way. I am now thrilled to say I can focus on my coaching business, and I have accepted the role Director of Marketing and Media for Warrior Rising 🇺🇸 A nonprofit with a mission I am so powerfully aligned with. When you’re in alignment, incredible things happen. There’s always more up my sleeve, but for now. I’m enjoying this newfound freedom. I get to choose how my time and energy is spent, and my son gets to experience more of me. 🫶 Bring on the challenges, and I’ll keep being relentless. 🔥 ___________ #entrepreneurship #personaldevelopment #risktaking #mentality #resignation #quityourjob #resign #personalgrowth #personalgrowthtips #alignment #selfbranding

Success doesn’t happen overnight—it happens when relentless belief meets relentless action. 🚀 So many people feel stuck, hitting what John Maxwell calls the "law of the lid," unable to break through to that next level in their careers, health, or mindset. But here’s the lesson: breaking through isn’t about luck or quick wins—it’s about consistency, belief, and persistence over time. Ben Newman’s story is a powerful reminder that success is often a long game. It’s about setting a vision, putting in the work, and refusing to quit when the results aren’t immediate. Every small step, every action rooted in your belief, gets you closer to that breakthrough. I relate to this on so many levels. In my own journey, I’ve faced moments where it felt like there was no clear path forward. But I’ve learned that showing up every day with purpose, whether in my business, my fitness, or my mindset, is what keeps the momentum going. It’s the commitment to keep pushing, even when progress feels slow, that leads to those breakthrough moments. Success is not about waiting for the right opportunity—it’s about creating it. Let’s commit to doing the work, staying the course, and breaking through those barriers. 💪 🎙️ Full episode of Finding Your Competitive Edge, featuring Ben Newman, now available on all podcast platforms! #BreakThrough #RelentlessPursuit #LevelUp #WinningMindset
