💡 The United States Department of Defense has announced the creation of an office dedicated to the integration of artificial intelligence into military systems. Named the Artificial Intelligence Rapid Capabilities Cell (AI RCC), the office is expected to play a key role in advancing the nation’s defense capabilities, particularly in preparation for potential conflicts in the Pacific. The office will operate under the oversight of the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office in collaboration with the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). “This rapid experimentation approach will allow us to test and identify where these cutting-edge technologies can make our forces more lethal and our processes more effective,” CDAO head Radha Iyengar Plumb stated. #military #army #defense #us #nationalsecurity #artificialintellinge #ai

Charlie Han, P.E. I don’t agree Oshkosh with Plason were first and foremost. Agree AM General improved on a great existing platform lol. Also must say I reviewed survivability and weld ability of all variants of MRAP during the gulf war and found JLTV by far the best system utilizing quench and tempered armored steel to support survivability. Other MRAP systems struggled with cracking armor for a host of reasons. This is where JLTV used bolted sections with very little welding that eliminated plate and weld cracking. In turn increased survivability. If you need welding solutions when welding Armored vehicles please give me a call. I have been consulting welders manufacturers with greater success based on lessons learned. Remember the Best Weld on Armor is “No Weld at All”
