Good technique, it can be done in empty land where there are no existing utilities. When considering blind drilling may cause damage to the existing services. The safer way is to excavate trench identify the clear corridor before installation of new pipes.
Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is a technique used to install underground pipes and cables without the need for trench excavation. This method is carried out in three stages: drilling the pilot hole, enlarging the hole, and installing the pipe. It is often used in urban areas and road crossings, as it reduces surface disruption and environmental impact. Additionally, it allows for fast and precise installation, making it suitable for a wide range of soil conditions. #HDD #DirectionalDrilling #UndergroundUtilities #TrenchlessTechnology #Infrastructure #EnvironmentalImpact

Pile alignment control Maintaining correct pile’s verticality or inclination during installation is a key factor for construction survey. When piles move out of alignment tolerance, it is often due to control issues with hammer-pile alignment or to soil conditions. If due to poor hammer-pile alignment control, a pile gate, template, or fixed lead system may improve the ability to maintain alignment tolerance. Soil conditions, such as near-surface obstructions or steeply sloping bedrock having minimal overburden material, can also disrupt alignment. The pile’s position can change after each hammer hit or during drilling, therefore constant position change monitoring is needed. Modern practices, used mostly for piles driven on waterbodies, involve use of several instruments, such as total stations and inclinometers. #piling #surveying #marineconstruction

What is Impact Moling? 🌍 Impact moling is a revolutionary trenchless method for installing underground pipes and utilities. Using a pneumatic hammer, an Impact Mole drives a steel pipe through the ground, displacing soil rather than removing it. This technique allows for efficient and accurate installations with minimal surface disruption. Key Benefits: - Trenchless Technology: Reduce excavation and surface disturbances. - Versatility: Impact Moles range from 25mm to 63mm in diameter, suitable for various pipe sizes. - Efficiency: Swift and straightforward installation of smaller pipes underground. At Mole Group, we harness the power of impact moling to deliver effective solutions for your pipeline and utility needs. Self-drilling rock bolts are a type of reinforcement used in tunnel construction to stabilise rock formations. Unlike traditional rock bolts, which require separate drilling and installation steps, self-drilling bolts combine these processes, featuring a hollow rod with a sacrificial drill bit at the end. This design allows them to be drilled directly into the rock, where they are then grouted in place, providing immediate structural support. The advantages of self-drilling rock bolts include faster installation times and improved safety. Additionally, they are particularly effective in challenging ground conditions, such as loose or fractured rock, where maintaining hole during installation is difficult. The Raise Boring method represents a cutting-edge approach in shaft construction for tunneling projects, known for its precision and efficiency. The process starts with the drilling of a pilot hole from the surface to the required depth, ensuring accuracy in reaching the target location. Once the pilot hole is completed, a reaming head is connected to the drill string and is used to gradually enlarge the hole as it is withdrawn upward. This results in the creation of a smooth, circular shaft with precise dimensions. The Raise Boring method excels in producing both vertical and inclined shafts, offering significant advantages over traditional blasting techniques, including reduced environmental impact, minimized surface disruption, and enhanced safety for workers. This technique's ability to deliver high-quality results with fewer complications makes it a preferred choice for modern tunneling operations. #RaiseBoring #ShaftConstruction #TunnelingTechniques #PrecisionEngineering #SafeTunneling #WaheedHamdani #InnovativeMethods #TunnelEngineering
