Yesterday was International Day of People with Disability. We love to say that democracy is for everyone, but what does that mean? It means we want everyone who is eligible to vote to be part of decision making in our community. Some ways that we make voting accessible (that you might not know about) are: ·      maxi pencils to use at voting centres ·      magnifiers for your ballot papers ·      staff who can assist you to vote in the voting centre ·      telephone assisted voting ·      Easy English guides available online before you vote.              https://lnkd.in/g4ny-FmG We recognise the people in our community who have difficulties with reading, writing, or understanding when it comes to enrolling and voting. That does not mean your vote doesn’t count. With assistance, you will be able to have your voice heard.
