So much of IT is making widgets: ones that let you order food or play movies, or run automobiles. I am not a widget maker. The work I do directly contributes to changing people's lives in my community. Since I've worked in local government, every single day, no matter how far I am from the end result of my work, I feel this sense of contribution. I know I'm making a difference. Tales... Someone contacted ONK Ushers for a sales rep job at a trade fair happening this weekend(Fri-Sun). We were referred by one of our tradefair exhibitor clients(2 years and counting). This was her first time exhibiting in any fair. We spoke for a long time, and I told her how we would drive sales for her and things she needed to do prior to the fair. Because of financial constraints, she ordered for 2 reps for the first day and 1 for the remaining 2 days. Before the end of the first day, she had called to inform me that she wanted 2 of them for the remaining 2 days instead of 1🥹. We are not bragging, but God's grace is upon all we do. As a project manager, every event job, whether big or small, must have a vision and goal. Once I know the WHY, WHAT, and GOAL, I would naturally create ways to ensure they are achieved and train my team towards that project.
