🚀 Migrating from Google Cloud to AWS with Snowflake Integration ✅ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞: Rising costs and increasing system complexity on Google Cloud necessitated a shift to a more cost-efficient, scalable solution. The goal was to migrate to AWS, refactor the codebase for simplicity, and transition from Google BigQuery to Snowflake for dynamic data warehousing. ✅ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 1. Assessment & Planning: A thorough evaluation of the existing infrastructure was conducted, followed by the development of a step-by-step AWS migration plan. 2. AWS EKS Fargate Implementation: AWS EKS Fargate was utilized to demonstrate the potential of serverless Kubernetes, simplifying deployment and scaling. 3. Code Refactoring & Snowflake Integration: The codebase was refactored to align with AWS best practices, and Snowflake was integrated to replace BigQuery, enhancing data processing and analytics. 4. Testing & Evaluation: Rigorous testing was carried out to ensure all components were functional, cost-effective, and scalable. ✅ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭: ➤ Cost Optimization & Simplification: Significant cost reductions and streamlined operations were achieved. ➤ Enhanced Data Management: Snowflake integration improved data warehousing and analytics capabilities. ➤ Architectural Validation: The new setup met operational needs and provided valuable insights for a full migration.
