I’ve been in the automotive industry for ~16 years. Investors in the space STILL get the same things wrong in their evaluations. → They feel an "all in one" system is the answer not allowing people to make choices → They don't understand the complexity around selling to repair shops and the specific processes of these businesses → They assume great early growth will continue sustainably over time → They fail to recognize consolidation of independent auto repair shops → They overvalue companies prematurely without long-term viability Too many investors dive in without understanding the auto industry's complexity. Sustainable growth requires deep customer insights, not just flashy features.

In the big wide world or -in all reality- just the niche we log pros are in, the hype is big on logistics technology. The failures are big too. The only thing that most start-ups in this space do is disrupt their clueless selves by first over-hiring, diving into a low margin, high competition space with loads of money, then go for the lay-offs but doing side projects to keep up appearances. Remember, more money = more side projects. You can't have enough side hustles as a digital forwarder to keep you from your real goals I guess once they aren't achievable anymore with some money still in the bank. What is going on at Forto by the way? Not talking about their lay-offs, are they going to for a merger, bankruptcy, fire-sale buy out or will they double down, as this is Softbank territory and property after all, and get new billions to ReWork it?
