Can you tell me why the world's largest carmaker Toyota has struggled in the Indian market for 20 years? Barring Innova and Fortuner, nothing worked for Toyota. But that is changing. Backed by Maruti Suzuki, it has beaten Kia to become India's fifth largest carmaker. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki now share 5 models: 1. Glanza (Baleno) 2. Taisor (Fronx) 3. Rumion (Ertiga) 4. Hyryder (Grand Vitara) 5. Innova Hycross (Invicto) #partnership #carsales #toyota ##marutisuzuki Toyota Kirloskar Motor Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Why do you think Hero has not been able to challenge the might of Honda Activa? Hero launched one scooter after another (Maestro, Destini Prime, Pleasure, and Xoom), but none of them could do even one-fourth sales of the Activa. It's now readied the all-new Destini. Can it be the new Activa? My article. Hero MotoCorp Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. #HondaActiva #HeroDestini #scooter #newscooter

Can you tell me why Indian hospitality, and attention to detail, is the finest in the world? I mean look at the way hotels such as ITC, Taj, Leela or Oberoi treat you. Why are they miles ahead of a Le Meridian or a Marriott or a Fairmont when it comes to personalised service? I'm at the new hotel chain by ITC (called the Mementos), and they seem to have raised the bar even higher. Did you know that this blob-shaped car is the best luxury EV in the world? Did you also know that it's being made in India, at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Pune? Would you like to check it out? I drove it on roads around Hyderabad, where its trip computer was showing range close to 600 km. Mercedes-Benz India #MercedesBenzEQSSUV #EQSSUV ##MercedesBenz #luxurycar #electriccar #EVs

Is the MG Windsor EV the most exciting electric car to be launched this year? 1. It gives you the option to either buy a full car, or buy the body and pay rental for the battery. 2. For example, you can either buy the Excite variant for Rs 13.49 lakh, or you can buy it for Rs 9.99 lakh and then pay just Rs 3.5 per km. 3. It's got huge space. The rear seat perhaps has the biggest legroom in entire industry. 4. Real range is 270-280 km. Acceleration is as good as Creta turbo. 5. It's an Indo-Chinese venture. My article. If you wanted to buy an SUV for Rs 20-25 lakh, would you choose a really fine SUV that carries 6-7 people in utmost comfort, or would you settle for an SUV that isn't as refined but has massive road presence? It sounds like Hyundai Alcazar versus Mahindra Scorpio, doesn't it? Well, the Scorpio sells 12 times more than the Alcazar, and here's your answer. Hyundai Motor India Ltd. For almost a year many people in the education industry thought it was Australia's Deakin (followed by Wollongong) that was India's first foreign university. Now we know it was Southampton. Difference: Deakin University and University of Wollongong set up a campus in GIFT City (an SEZ) and are governed by the local regulator IFSCA. University of Southampton will have a campus in Gurgaon, and it comes under UGC regulations, so it's truly the first foreign university to set up a full-fledged campus in India. #Deakin #Wollongong #foreignuniversities #education #universities

India has invited foreign universities to set up a campus here. But the best of the best (like University of Melbourne, or Oxford or Harvard) are not interested in opening a campus in India. Why? Let me tell you something cool, unique, Punchy. 2024 will be the first year when a non-Maruti car will be the year's largest selling car. During January-August sales, Tata Punch is leading Maruti Wagon R by about 10,000 units, and the Wagon R is unlikely to overtake the Punch with just 4 months left in the year. Third is Creta and fourth is Brezza, but they're too far behind. Did Hyundai Santro ever beat a Maruti? I don't remember. Do you think Indian carmakers have started designing some of the best cars in the world? I mean look at Tata Curvv -- such a chiselled front, such a sexy back. It's loaded with features, too, and pricing is good. There are areas of improvement (I felt the manual gearbox is jerky, and it could have more practical storage spaces), but overall it seems like a cool package. My article after driving it.
