This is another great question. What can I expect in a typical therapy session? While I can't really speak to how other therapy practices do their sessions, I can tell you about how Village Wellness Center does their sessions. So here at Village we actually offer two different ways that you can have sessions with our therapists. We offer in person at our office in San Juan Capistrano, but we also offer virtual sessions with therapist and this this is open to anybody that lives in the entire state of California. So let's just start with our in office experience. So once you arrive to our office, you'll come upstairs and you'll just make yourself comfortable in our waiting room. You'll let your therapist know that you've arrived by using the tablet on the table, and this will send them a message saying you're here. So while you're waiting for your therapist, you can enjoy some refreshments, listen to some pretty good music, and really just kind of settle in and get ready for your session to begin. Once it's time, your therapist will come out and take you to the office that you'll be in for the next 50 minutes. Now once you're in this office with your therapist, it's really going to be a time. For you to get comfortable and so we take a lot of effort in decorating our offices to provide the most comfort for our for our clients. You can curl up with a blanket, You can lay down on a couch, you can sit down on a couch. You can be any way that you need to be in. Your therapist will be right there with you. So during this time also you'll be engaged in a pretty in-depth conversation. This may take some time and may evolve over a number of sessions to get there, but ultimately you're going to have a collaborative. Conversation with your therapist about what's bringing you in, what are the challenges you're facing, what are some suggestions that might help you get through this, And so on. At the end of your 50 minutes, your therapist will let you know that the time is up, and then you'll just look at the calendar and your schedule. You'll schedule your next time. After that, you're free to go. You're always free to go whenever you want, but if you stay the whole session, you're free to go at the end, and then you're just ready to go about the rest of your day. So if you are seen as virtually, here's what you can expect. The content of the session is pretty much probably going to be the same, but but how you go about having this session will be a little bit different. So virtually the great thing about virtual therapy is that again, you can be anywhere. You as the client can be anywhere in California. So you don't have to be in Orange County, you don't have to be in San Juan Capistrano. You can be all the way to the northeast part of the State of California and we can still see you, which is a really great thing because your access to therapy. Becomes a lot better. So if you're doing a virtual session, then what that means is you're going to get a link that you're going to use to log into a HIPAA compliant platform where you'll meet with your with your therapist. Your therapist is going to go over how the sessions will go in the very beginning so you understand. They're also going to give you some recommendations on the best way to have an effective therapy session virtually. So some of those recommendations might be to utilize earbuds or earphones to not only drown out ambient noise. And to also provide you with privacy and confidentiality, the other thing that might be recommended is to be in an area that you have strong Wi-Fi. Sometimes if you have a space that you're not, you don't have a lot of privacy in. Or maybe it's not the safest place for you to be in. While you're talking about certain things, your therapist might encourage you to choose a different location. So that might mean going to your car. It might mean going to a place outside someplace local. I've had that. I've had clients who even went into their. Closet for privacy. So wherever you need to be is totally fine as long as you're able to log into the session and have some Wi-Fi access. You can do this on a tablet, a phone, or even your laptop. The thing about being in your car, though to note is that you can't be driving, so the car does have to be parked, because we want you to be very safe and be able to really focus during this time. So the content of the therapy session will remain the same. You'll still talk about all the same things that you probably would talk about if you were face to face, and then at the end of the session, that therapist will let you know that the time. This has ended and then you'll do the same thing with looking at the calendar and hopefully scheduling your next time together. So those are our two ways of having sessions in a village Wellness Center and what you can expect in your time with your therapist here. So I hope this video was helpful and I wish you the best of luck.
