In this growing gaming industry, VR or Virtual Reality games are truly creating a new dimension in making the gaming experience truly one of a kind. People using VR gaming systems move around the virtual world and interact with virtual features and items. Last March 2022, nDreams, a renowned company known for developing and publishing unique video games such as Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, Fracked, Synapse, and more, secured a remarkable $35 million investment from the recently formed Aonic Group. Aonic Group, a new gaming conglomerate aspiring to be the premier hub for small-to-midsized studios, aims to create a family of like-minded studios. Their goal is to foster a strong group that allows each team to realize its full potential while preserving its independent spirit, identity, and creative freedom. At this moment, Aonic Group marks the successful finalization of the purchase of nDreams for around $110 million by Has. The Co-founders of nDreams, Patrick and Tamsin O'Luanaigh, will maintain their roles as CEO and CPO, respectively, working alongside the current executive team. The capital obtained through this acquisition will be utilized by the studio for upcoming ventures, such as third-party publishing and the potential acquisition of additional studios. "After 18 months of working together, we're confident we've found the right partner in Aonic. This is the right moment to welcome their support to strengthen our position even further, and seize this critical moment for VR and MR," said Patrick O'Luanaigh." Aonic Group's CEO, Paul Schempp, underscored NDreams' outstanding history of delivering noteworthy VR titles to the market. The Early Access version of our social stealth VR game, Mannequin, is coming to App Lab for Meta Quest 👽! The game will launch on May 2 for $19.99, with promotional codes available to discount the game to $9.99 during its launch weekend. The free Open Alpha for the game will come to a close ahead of launch on April 28. Early Access marks the next major milestone for Mannequin’s tense and deceptive asymmetrical gameplay, in which one team of up to three aliens pose as frozen human statues and ambush the opposing side of up to two Agents. The Early Access version of the game will include all 4 maps that were previously split into pairs during the game’s Open Alpha stage, as well as support for the Meta Quest friend system, left handed support and more. More information on obtaining the launch discount codes will be available on Mannequin’s social channels once Early Access has launched. A community tournament marking the end of the Open Alpha will also be hosted on our Discord on April 28th. At launch, the Early Access version of Mannequin will include: 👽 All 4 Maps Available: Previously split across Open Alpha releases, every map seen in the game so far will be available with updated visuals, making this the most complete version of Mannequin to date. 👽 Improved Friend Support: Players will now have their Meta account names listed and access to their friends lists in-game. I'm very excited to announce that on May 2, we will bring our already super popular social stealth VR multiplayer game 'Mannequin' to Early Access on Meta Quest! After conducting closed playtests during the end of 2023, we are currently running a highly succesful Open Alpha where Mannequin became the most downloaded game on SideQuest of all the 2024 titles. Now, the game is ready to enter official Early Access on Meta Quest next week, followed by SteamVR in the near future. The Early Access version of Mannequin includes: 👽FOUR levels with updated visuals 👽Improved Friends Support 👽Party Play 👽Better Performance & New Features like left-handed mode. Mannequin will cost $19.99 in Early Access, HOWEVER: For a very short period of 72 hours you will be able to get a 'First Responder discount' of 50% by following any of our official game channels and claiming a discount code there as the game goes live on May 2.
