I've been working at SAS Brazil a dozen of years. #SASSoftware always was very competent in boost my curiosity.   Everyone - mainly the newbies - that doesn't know the power of SAS or even its origins should have the opportunity to read this article: https://lnkd.in/dEDc6Puu From the technical point of view this time what surprised me was PROC OPSCAN. Come on! Read a magnetic tape and save the information in datasets! That's something to me. Back to early 70's of course we had all theoretical math tools but build-it is different. Processing Signals Analogic or Digital and the conversion between it is very common and cheap today but the math behind is not trivial. And from business point of view I always knew since SAS came into my life that its birth was related to agriculture. But this information that #SASSoftware was used and/or participated in iniciatives concerned with the effects of pesticide use back in early 70's is simply awesome!  I believe that a software company like #SASSoftware which has always been involved in iniciatives concerned with people and community well-being since its beginning is ahead when discussions about Gen-AI and its Ethical usage are on the table.

Gooooooooooooooooood Morning Belgium ! Rain but not everywhere at the same time early morning. Grey to quickly cover our sky before midday with rain for everyone. Possible dry periods by end afternoon before heavy rain in the evening. Temperatures dropping with 12 to 16 degrees maximum today. Rain, rain, rain ! Autumn is here ! Free garden watering should make many people happy ! 😛 Belgian winning new European title ! We are European Champions ... of strikes ! 😂 What a beautiful award ! A trophy we surely didn't want ! When are we going to start working ? 🤔😁 Apart from rain, missing governments in Belgium, indefinite war in Ukraine, unacceptable war in the Middle-East ... what could we possibly talk about ? 🤷 Probably nothing exciting... Expecting Pope Francis to come to Belgium on Thursday. Hope it will bring some peace and some positivity above our heads ! And we are here to add some good mood to current political situation whether internal or international ! Only good mood can save us and help us make it through the day. Throwing in a smile, a wink, a joke ... distributing hugs and offering an ear to listen. Is it so hard to do all of this on permanent basis ? Wouldn't you feel much better knowing you've been there for some people ? Knowing you can make someone (or even more) happy every day must be the right boost to make your own day pretty special ! A Message Worth Remembering Throughout 2025 Mental health challenges have many causes, and one that causes significant damage to otherwise healthy people, is bullying and mobbing. In 2025, let’s collectively raise our voices against bullying and mobbing. Let this be a year of heightened awareness, increased accountability, and meaningful action. It is essential for those in positions of authority to honour their responsibilities, set boundaries, and act with integrity—even when it means challenging friends or those in power. Nobody should be above the law, and Australia has robust legal frameworks to address these issues. What we need is consistent enforcement. The No More Mobbing Campaign is committed to educating and advocating for change in 2025.
