Why should industries care about sensory experiences? Because they transform interactions from great to unforgettable. Take the hospitality industry as an example. 🌟 Sight & Sound: Walk into a hotel room where the lighting adjusts to your mood and a calming soundscape welcomes you. Pan Pacific London has mastered this, turning sensory design into luxury. 👃 Smell & Taste: That first breath when you enter a lobby—it matters. Intercontinental Hotels have a signature scent that lingers in your memory long after you’ve checked out. 🔮 Sixth Sense: How do you create spaces that spark creativity and intuition? At QC Terme Spas, the atmosphere is designed to help guests reconnect with themselves, making every visit a sensory escape. At the heart of every great experience is how it makes you feel. How can your industry tap into the power of the senses to create lasting connections? #sixsensesmethod #hospitality #sensorymarketing

When I select where to stay, I prefer venues that give me a sense of identity, pride, and a vision for the future. As hoteliers, we need a strategy outlining the type of place we want and creating a venue that feels authentic and purposeful. Each location has the tradition and talent to tell a new story for its urban core, but it needs a vision to highlight its best features and allow authentic elements to flourish. Every establishment must know how to reinvent itself and never cease to amaze, demonstrating the best in modern hospitality. From my observations, expected shortfalls that make a hotel feel lifeless include a lack of personal touch, overly minimalist design, absence of human connection, lack of a cohesive theme, inadequate use of space, and missing local elements. Many hotels avoid these pitfalls but need to enhance guest understanding and Engagement. Compelling storytelling, guided tours, interactive elements, staff training, and visual cues can bridge this gap. Lastly, ensuring staff feel proud and comfortable in their roles and attire can significantly enhance the guest experience. Do your favorite hotels make you feel connected and inspired? #HospitalityDesign #HotelLife #AuthenticTravel #TravelInspiration #HotelDesign #TravelGoals #UrbanStories #ModernHospitality

Visual storytelling is the key to making your hotel unforgettable. It’s about capturing the feeling of being there—seeing the warmth, comfort, and elegance of your spaces come to life. The quiet luxury of a soft robe, the serene pool views, the inviting ambiance of a perfect dinner—all details that guests feel before they even arrive. I'm Nihal Ruparel, and in hospitality, I’ve found that standing out is essential. High-quality video brings your hotel to life, allowing potential guests to experience your unique atmosphere before they arrive. As the Eagles put it in Hotel California, "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave." That’s the power of video—it connects, captivates, and keeps guests coming back. Ready to showcase your hotel’s story? Start rolling those cameras. 424 HOUSE Yoshitha challapalli #HospitalityMarketing #VisualStorytelling #LuxuryHotels #HotelMarketing #GuestExperience #VideoMarketing #HospitalityIndustry #SheratonUniversal #BrandStorytelling #TravelandTourism

Rebranding a hotel isn’t as glamorous as it sounds… 🎨 We were tasked with rebranding a historic hotel, blending its past with modern luxury. But how do you modernize without losing the essence that made the hotel unique in the first place? We spent weeks immersed in the hotel’s history, walking through its halls, and speaking with staff and guests. 🏨 As the deadline approached, we were still missing that perfect blend of old-world charm and modern allure. The breakthrough came when we combined historical elements with contemporary storytelling in our branding strategy. It was an instant hit with guests! 🥂 Rebranding isn’t just about a new look. It’s about capturing the soul of the experience. #Rebranding #HotelMarketing #BusinessChallenges #DigitalStrategy #Creativity #MarketingAgency #HotelIndustry #LearningCurve #Innovation #BrandIdentity

Jean-Michel Gathy: Acclaimed Hotel Designer (Aman , One&Only Resorts , Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts) Via The Hotel Journal is this informative interview with Jean-Michel Gathy, founder of Denniston & the creative designer behind some of the world’s most exclusive hotels. Here are several of my takeaways from this piece, especially as I am curious as to how a designer can craft & create without being formulaic & predictable. - “A hotel is a business venture, they want to make sure it looks good so they can use some of the elements of design for marketing & positioning in the market.” - How do you bring a sense of place into your design ? “That’s the way you visit the country. You visit the cultural part of it, the physical part of it, and you can see the way people live.” - “Nowadays hotels are lifestyle venues. You go & assimilate yourself to a hotel because you like the image they project.” - On Luxury: “We design exclusive places, places where you have a limited number of people who can utilize- Exclusive is probably the word instead of luxurious, but exclusivity is luxury. Our hotels are more exclusive, more specific, more targeted, and they have a very strong identity normally.” #jeanmichelgathy #denniston #hospitalitydesign #identity #exclusivity

HOSPITALITY NEWS #913 Porto Rocha's global refresh for W Hotels marks a 'new era of luxury hospitality' The hotel group steps into a new era with a bold, refined identity crafted by the global agency. Moving away from flashy opulence, the rebrand combines vibrant design with understated elegance, setting the stage for a fresh, immersive take on luxury hospitality. If W Hotels has appealed to your creative heart over the last decade, it's because you're the target audience. Pitching itself as audacious, colourful and unabashedly fun, it was deemed a pioneer of luxury hospitality for the art and design set in the 2010s. But hey, things have changed. Competition is fierce, more than ever, and tastes have changed. Today, the very meaning of luxury has shifted away from that "in your face" opulence and leans more towards a subtle positioning, understanding people want less photo-op and more holistic experience.
