[SAVE THE DATES] - The final Exploring for the Future public Showcase: 13 – 16 August!
Whether you are an explorer, a researcher, a natural resource decision-maker or just simply interested in Australia’s latest geoscience, we invite you to join our final Exploring for the Future Showcase.
The online Showcase is free and open to everyone! This year it will be bigger than ever with topics spanning current and future challenges facing Australia, including critical minerals, green steel, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, mine waste prospectivity and much more.
Concluding in 2024, 8 years of Exploring for the Future has provided us with a trove of science and data that will benefit all Australians in shaping our low emissions future.
Join Andrew Heap and a team of geoscience experts as they share the final results from the program, highlight achievements, and engage in open Q&A sessions and a panel discussion with leaders across government, industry and academia.
The line-up of talks will include the latest from our 3 flagship national geophysics surveys – AusAEM, AusLAMP and AusArray, as well as new and improved national mineral, energy and groundwater resources assessments all to support our transition to net zero by 2050. Attendees can also look forward to presentations of major results from the program’s regional projects, including the latest drilling, geochemistry and geochronology results from the Delamerian, groundwater chemistry in the Curnamona, and groundwater studies from the upper Darling River floodplain. We’ll share work on the hydrogeology of the West Musgrave region and results from the highly anticipated reflection seismic survey of the Birrindudu Basin.
Keep an eye out for further updates in the coming weeks, including the Showcase schedule overview and how to register 👉 ga.gov.au/showcase.
