33 years. A lifetime and a blink of an eye all at the same time. 2 weeks ago today I ended my professional career at Bayer and have spent time reflecting. Not going to lie, it's a lot to process but it came down to eight simple things: 1. A career of this span doesn't happen by accident OR without a tribe of people along the way that make you better. 2. Gratitude can never be underestimated - I was so glad to be able to tell people thank you and how proud I was for their help and examples of growth. Those were the last conversations I had as I left the building for the final time. 3. Hard stuff sucks. A lot. But it's always worth it - both personally and for the relationships it forges. Do the hard things. 4. Remember and celebrate the successes but embrace the failures. You learn a ton from both, but failures teach you to be better. A friend reminded me this morning of a Maya Angelou quote "When you know better, you do better." Always choose to know better. 5. Learn & grow in a way that's authentic to you and not just the flavor of the month. Then commit to living that way. Authenticity can deeply affect the situation/relationship/learning. 6. Find your "ouch" people. Those people who are in your corner and tell you hard things. And are always there to pick you up and help you grow. I have had countless "ouch" people and am grateful for that. 7. When they say people don't remember what you do but will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel - believe it. I was reminded of that in the many farewell conversations - and believe me, my "ouch" people showed up with stories when I didn't do something well along with the positive things. I would have expected nothing less from them. 8. Finally, at the end of the day it's the people that matter. I was blessed to have some folks that were there at the beginning be there with & for me at the end - that was not lost on me. It meant the world. So I leave with a head full of memories and much gratitude for the many teams over many, many years. This experience is now in my rear-view mirror but will serve me well going forward as I find my Next.

This is an appreciation post for the amazing Team I belong to. Over the last year, we have faced several challenges but also delivered significant results, always nurturing a positive and collaborative environment, where we “work hard, have fun and make history” together. This attention to People and Teambuilding is one of the elements I like the most of my job and I am truly grateful for this. PS: If interested, I am sharing here an article I have recently read, which reinforces the importance of friendships and People to fight against loneliness, which is spreading as a new epidemic, due to social changes: https://lnkd.in/dy8Q-SRu

Five to six years ago, I was fortunate enough to work alongside a group of incredible individuals who weren’t just colleagues—they were friends, mentors, and teammates. We shared more than just work deadlines; we shared meals, celebrated birthdays, and let loose at after-work parties. We supported each other during challenging projects, and we learned from each other every single day. Back then, it felt like we’d be a part of each other’s lives forever. The bond we built seemed unbreakable, the laughter echoing through the halls as we navigated our shared experiences together. Yet, as time moves forward, people change, and life takes us in different directions. Some have moved to new cities, new jobs, and new adventures—while others, like me, have continued on their own paths. Today, most of us are no longer in touch the way we used to be. But even as the distance between us grows, I carry with me the lessons, the laughter, and the moments we shared. What I’ve learned is that, while connections may fade over time, the impact people have on your life does not. The lessons they taught me—whether it was about perseverance, collaboration, or simply enjoying the small moments—remain as part of my journey. Life goes on, and we continue to evolve, but the memories we create and the Wisdom we gain from each other never truly leave. Those years with them were a chapter that helped shape who I am today. And although our paths may have diverged, I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared. To all my old colleagues—wherever life has taken you, thank you for the lessons, the laughter, and the growth. Here’s to the memories, the friendships, and the journeys that will continue, even if they take us in different directions. Challenge: Start your day with 3 things you are grateful for and it will transform your perspective in both your business and personal life. Gratitude is more than just a feeling - it’s a guiding principle in both my personal and professional life. I’m grateful for my supportive family and the opportunities that have shaped my journey. I’m also thankful for my team at WRL, who prioritise gratitude and foster a positive work culture and stronger client relationships. 🌟 Happy International Thank You Day! 🌟 Tomorrow, on January 11, we celebrate International Thank You Day—a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to those who have touched our lives, big or small. What better way to kick off a new year than by taking a moment to reflect on the people who have made a difference in our journeys? We often assume that our appreciation is understood, or we let the hustle of daily life overshadow the importance of two simple, yet powerful, words: “Thank you.” But today reminds us that gratitude is not only felt—it needs to be spoken. Whether it's a teammates who lent their support during a challenging project, a leader who believed in your potential, a team that worked tirelessly to achieve a goal, or a friend who brightened your day—take a moment to let them know their impact matters. So today, I want to say thank you to all the incredible people I’ve had the privilege to work with and learn from. Your contributions, encouragement, and collaboration are not just noticed—they are deeply appreciated. Who has made a difference in your life recently? Let’s spread gratitude today by tagging or messaging them with a heartfelt "thank you." Gratitude sparks connection, fuels positivity, and reminds us of what truly matters. As we reflect on this day of gratitude, I want to take a moment to thank all of the incredible professionals I’ve had the chance to connect with so far. The collaboration, growth, and shared passion for pushing boundaries in marketing and business has been truly inspiring. A special shout-out to the talented acquisition teams, mentors, hiring managers, and professionals who are helping guide the job search journey. Whether you’ve taken the time to review resumes, provide feedback, or offer insights into your organizations, your support makes all the difference. To those actively helping others navigate the job market—offering advice, networking opportunities, or just a word of encouragement—you’re doing more than you know ☺️☺️☺️ This Thanksgiving, I’m especially grateful for the people who take the time to invest in others' growth, even when they’re not officially part of the hiring process. May this year bring success, better jobs, better workplace environments, and whatever else you’re wishing for 🎉 If we haven’t connected yet, I’d love to hear your story, share ideas, and explore ways we can collaborate in the future. Let’s continue this journey of growth and success together! Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🍂 Grateful for what was. Grateful for what is. Grateful for what will be. PS: If anybody in your family starts fighting today, please go live 🤣 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #MarketingCommunity #Networking #Collaboration #Growth

🎉 Celebrating One Year at Leathwaite! I missed my actual work anniversary last week while I was on annual leave, sipping Piña Coladas 🍹 on a Caribbean island. A bit of a shock to the system coming back to plummeting temperatures but I'm grateful to be home and to have had the time to reflect. It would be remiss of me not to mention this milestone. 📌 I stepped into this incredible role one year ago and what a journey it has been! From championing growth mindset, creating a culture of learning, embedding open feedback within our teams and helping unlock potential across the organisation, every moment has been fun and energising - aligning well with my core values! Looking back, I'm so pleased to see the progress we’ve made together— launching training sessions, supporting career development, and seeing individuals and teams thrive. It's been a pleasure to work alongside such passionate people who make every challenge worthwhile. 🚀 2025 is brimming with opportunities to build on the momentum and continue to enhance talent development, embrace new strategies, and continue shaping an environment where everyone can grow together and make a meaningful contribution. Thank you to my colleagues for your support and collaboration. Here's to another year of growth, learning and shared success! We don't just recruit talent, we grow it! 🌟 #TalentDevelopment #GrowthMindset #ExecutiveSearch

Your impact is immeasurable, and I’m deeply thankful for each of you.
