Advancing Subsurface Modeling: Tackling Complex Environments with Cutting-Edge Simulations We’ve demonstrated new code that could revolutionize imaging and monitoring in land and complex environments that have been ignored for so long. Just marvel at the realistic propagation on a land model with dune topography. Compare the energy of surface-trapped waves versus first arrivals through buried and surface receivers. Watch how receiver ghosts track the thickness of the sand, and observe how dunes distort the wavefront, causing energy re-radiation within the dunes and creating noticeable reverberations—similar to what we’ve seen on real data gathers.
