🌟 💡 Did you know? 💡 🌟 Satellites, our silent guardians, capture stunning images of Earth from space. Yet, their agility, an often-overlooked feature, is equally impressive. 🛰💨 Agility, in the world of satellites, refers to the rapid reorientation ability of a satellite. This technology becomes crucial as our coastlines, some of the most difficult land features to capture, face threats from erosion, rising sea levels, and natural disasters. Our agile satellites allow us to quickly scan these areas, producing high-resolution images that help us detect changes, monitor erosion, and quickly adapt to environmental shifts. Moreover, our satellites are equipped with cutting-edge agility technology, including a wide swath width, which enhances our sustainability monitoring efforts. This technology optimizes the data collection process, ensuring a thorough compilation of images with the utmost precision and clarity. 🛰🌍 #sustainabletech #satelliteimagery #earthobservation #methanereduction

#satellite #imagery Recently, we had a special discussion regarding satellite imagery for special commercial needs in the region. Very interesting ... Many imagery satellites are circulating and providing images at best in every 10 minutes, wow. The problem is, the output can only be delivered after 24 hours. Is there anything that could be better than that? If asked me what for? The answer is many, only at #SKOTA by Lintasarta. #empoweringyourfuture #smartcity #gis

In the surveying field, is there any use of satellite technology? To answer this, I would like to define a satellite first. A satellite is an object in space that orbits a larger object (celestial body). There are two types of satellites: natural, such as the moon, and man-made. Among man-made satellites, there are various types, including: Communication relay Weather forecasting Navigation (GPS) Broadcasting Scientific research Earth observation In the surveying field, we primarily use types 3 and 6. GPS Satellites: GPS satellites send signals to the ground, which are used to determine a location by positioning it on the earth's surface. This technology is essential for accurate mapping and boundary establishment. Earth Observation Satellites: These are imagery satellites. The images they capture have different color bands and are used by a specific sub-discipline called remote sensing. Remote sensing allows surveyors to acquire information about the earth's surface without physical contact with the ground. #ARTofSURVEYING #SurveyorsLife #Surveying #RemoteSensing

GPS, also known as the Global Positioning System, is used in many aspects of life from the everyday, such as navigation with our mobile devices, to the extraordinary, such as emergency rescues. But how exactly does it work? Multiple satellites in space beam signals at the speed of light toward Earth. Your mobile device receives these signals at slightly different times depending on the distance each satellite is from your location. To determine your location, these different times can be used to calculate the differences in distance from each satellite. With this information, your device tells you your position on Earth.
