We've learned so much... Our understanding of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and biodiversity credits from both the farm and business perspectives has grown significantly. There are two key insights to share: 1. Regulatory Foundations for #Market-Based Approaches: A market-based approach to #NbS and biodiversity credits cannot be fully effective without a solid regulatory framework. Without such regulations, efforts may not progress beyond #philanthropic endeavors. 2. Diverse Factors Supporting Life in the Tropics: The range of factors that sustain life in tropical regions is remarkable. Is key to strategically approach the landscape by integrating social, ecological, and economic perspectives as a whole. #PuraVida #BIOTA

Thinking of interesting and creative ways to share news on a regular basis is tricky. Not to mention time consuming. So today, we've decided this will do, and chosen to invest the time we would have spent crafting something else into talking about GreenViet instead. For over a decade, non-profit GreenViet have assisted local communities in conserving and developing important ecosystems across Vietnam, whilst raising awareness about environmental issues, educating students on the importance of diversity and promoting stewardship. And if that wasn't enough, they've helped protect several species and planted thousands of trees, too. We think that's pretty incredible. So, as a company who share the same values and ambition to bring about meaningful change, we could think of no better initiative towards which to direct our support. This is just a small token of our appreciation for the work GreenViet are putting in to looking after our planet, and we can't wait to bring offer more contributions to similar trusts as we grow. To everyone who participated in our campaign - thankyou! And also, watch this space... #greenviet #ecosystems #biodiversity #stewardship

Taking action for a sustainable future. The mission of L'Invitée to encourage great leadership with great people also includes taking responsibility to protect our planet as best as possible for future generations. We believe in not only raising awareness about environmental issues but also actively contributing to positive change. That is why we have become a proud tree partner of the Trees for All foundation: https://lnkd.in/gv8Ekhb8. Without trees there is no life. That is why the Trees for All foundation plants new forests worldwide, restores degraded forests and makes people aware of the importance of trees. In partnership with Trees for All, we’ve donated and planted 200 trees worldwide in two projects in the Netherlands and Mexico. We have entered this collaboration for the next three years and it fits perfectly with our mission in encouraging great leadership. Let’s celebrate the beauty of our planet and our commitment to protecting it. #meaningfulimpact

Today, we had the privilege of attending the launch of the Instituto Latinoamericano del Biochar (ILBI) 🌱, a groundbreaking non-profit organization dedicated to researching, promoting, and fostering the use of biochar as a climate change mitigation strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event was enlightening, highlighting the significant benefits of biochar and the crucial role that Latin America and the Caribbean play as a key region with immense potential for carbon sequestration. The speakers emphasized the importance of reallocating resources from wealthier countries to support sustainable and profitable projects in this region, which is ripe for investment 💡🌍 Biochar is not a new concept in Latin America. In fact, it's well-documented that some Amazonian communities have utilized biochar to improve soil fertility for centuries. However, there's a vast potential for sustainable and long-lasting biochar production, especially in projects that engage with local communities. We're grateful to have heard from our partner Bernardo del Campo, from ARTi, and Luisa Marin, Valeria Araico and Patrick Atanasije Pineda from The Next 150 and ILBI. A heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for such an important initiative! #ClimateAction #Sustainability #Biochar #Innovation #LatinAmerica #Caribbean

Forests are key to combating climate change, and to contributing to the prosperity and well-being of current and future generations. Today, 21 March, is the International Day of Forests. Forests purify the water, clean the air, capture carbon to fight climate change, provide food and life-saving medicines, and improve our well-being. #SITAlumni Ecosia is a web search engine that donates 80% of its surplus income to the common good, currently focused on tree planting programmes. Every click on a sponsored ad on Ecosia translates into money for the environment. So far, Ecosia users have planted around 170 million trees.
