Last night at my son's state fair, I saw the magic of teamwork in action! 🌟 The kids absolutely rocked it, showing up as a united team. They spoke confidently in front of a whole gym of people (!!), cheered each other on, and nailed their presentations. It reminded me of 3 key areas for building a high-performing team: 1. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤: When we work together and support one another, we can achieve incredible things. 2. 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰: Believing in yourself and each other makes tackling new challenges exciting and rewarding. 3. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭: Having a leader who guides, believes in, and pushes you is essential. My church rents out part of its facilities to a pre-school. They have inspirational messages placed throughout the building. The first one that caught my eye said, "Word hard and be nice to people." What a simple, but powerful statement. And I think it's obvious that it's not just relevant to pre-schoolers. While we all hopefully try to follow that advice, let's be nice by recognizing another group of Nice Guys and Gals. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST on Thursday.
