In the world of sports, opinions are abundant, but respect should always prevail. The recent incident involving Sanjiv Goenka's criticism of KL Rahul has sparked a crucial conversation. While healthy criticism is essential for growth, the manner in which it is delivered matters significantly. Criticism is very much required for performance improvement but it should be constructive and should be delivered in a manner that respects the person's dedication and hard work. Moreover, the emphasis should be placed on improving performance rather than tearing down individuals. IPL in India can take cues from football in Europe and basketball in the US. There, owners respect the sanctity of the team dugout and have the patience to delay difficult conversation to a time when the cameras aren't on them. IPL has the opportunity to learn from them and implement strategies to promote a culture of positivity, professionalism, and mutual respect. The ultimate goal is to celebrate talent, acknowledge efforts, and uplift each other, both on and off the field. Image source: The Quint #Sportsmanship #PositiveCulture #IPL #ConstructiveCriticism
