The curious case of Fernando Alonso: - Joins Formula 1 in 2001, at just 20. - Wins back-to-back championships in 2005 and 2006. - The youngest pole-sitter, race winner, world champion, and two-time champion at the time. - Joins Ferrari and ends up second in 2010, 2012, 2013. - Takes a 2-year sabbatical from F1, goes and wins the 24 hours of Le Mans twice, 24 hours of Daytona and the World Endurance Championship. - Comes back to F1 in ‘21, gets the first podium since 2014. - Moves to Aston in 2023 and has 7 podiums in the 13 races so far. Yesterday at the Dutch GP, this young 42-year-old made it through a chaotic race start, a safety car, pouring rain and a last-minute shuffle to make it to P2 behind the race winner Max Verstappen. If this is not racing legacy, I don't know what is. Fernando Alonso Díaz, what a man! ❤️ McLaren Racing x Scuderia Ferrari x Aston Martin F1 Team #Formula1 #F1 #F101 #Alonso
Shattering hopes of all those who thought the man is done and should give youngsters a chance. This guy keeps evolving, even surprising his own fans with moves no could possibly think he would do. Yet, not blessed enough to have a decent enough luck while picking up teams. And that's what surprises me, even after knowing the fact that he is one of the best but was beaten by those probably half as talented as him didn't break his motivation, exploring new avenues and improving every time he got behind the wheel. He might not be able to claim the third title but seeing him happy is more than enough. A legend indeed.
This man at 42 in a sport that needs endurance at the next level is an absolute alien. Forget the SuperMax song, this guy is reckless. Make a song on him.
One of the greatest driver mankind has ever seen
There is a reason why I am a Fernando Alonso fan since 2003. I am seeing those reasons in the comments section.

A Formula 1 legend right there!
So glad that #F101 posts are back! Looking forward to more 😊
What an electric race this was! Amazing to see Fernando's season this year!

1y- and btw: When Michael Schumacher matched the record 7-race win streak in 2004, Alonso was there. When Seb beat the record and made it 9 consecutive wins in 2013, he was there. Now, when Max matches Seb's record - guess what, 10 years later, he's still here!❤️
